Roselaar shopping center is one like many in the Netherlands with branches of the major chains and some special shops. However, coming from Antwerp this is the first one across the border. Pleasant modern place, though the nearby Passage is more to my liking. There is a car park with entrance at the Laan van Brabant. Price: 0.90€ per 30 minutes. The main entry to the shopping center is at the other side of the block. Most shops close at 5:30 PM.See more..
Was staying in Katjeskelder, near this shopping center, and was very pleased with the variety of shops and friendly people. They also had a music event organised. Really cool!See more..

Schijndel's market square was badly bombed during World War Two and for decades it remained empty until locally born architect Winy Maas came up (at the 7th attempt!) with the 'Glass Farm'. It's designed to look like a traditional Dutch farmhouse - albeit quite a large one - but look closer and you'll see it's facade is entirely made from glass. Behind the facade of the farm house are shops and restaurants and even some offices. We found we could climb to the top (4 storeys) as well as get an ice cream from a great ice cream parlour in the building. It's one of the most striking things about Schijndel, a pretty small town, so though you'll probably not be hear for very long, this is definitely worth visiting, especially if you're in to architecture.See more..

Laat je verrassen door de AaBe Fabriek! Een oude dekenfabriek waar de industriële sfeer na al die jaren nog steeds inspireert. Er worden dan wel geen dekens meer gemaakt, maar met alles voor in en rond het huis verwarmen we nog steeds vele harten. Indeed many shops look alike and it could be anywhere in the Netherlands..if only there wasn t the main square that is unique with the remembrance of Vincent Van Gogh a must see. There is one important problem with downtown Etten Leur. You cannot (except for the store called Kruidvat) pay by debit or credit card. Only the Dutch ‘Maestro’ debit card is accepted. And not your mainstream ‘Master’ or ‘Visa’. You have to carry cash at all time. For starters you cannot pay in cash or by card at the large underground parking and on paid parking spots in the streets. Make sure to have cash Euros. Which ironically is hard to get on site, because the only atm machine is located at the city hall which is located in the pedestrian area. You first have to park your car . Go figure.See more..
