An Interesting Museum of Old Catholic Art

This museum, annex closed monastery, houses beautiful, religious objects. For some reason there also is some modern art, not all of which I can appreciate. Especially the silver objects are awe inspiring. The spice garden where the nuns grow spices, is very nice.

Google Translate will help enjoy this wonderful collection even more
This was a lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon. The gardens were just getting started, but we already fragrant. The history that has been captured and presented was amazing. It is a smaller museum, less crowds and you will need Google translate to read the displays. It is a great collection, presented in a lovely way. When I went they had a huge collection of the last supper from ancient, newer artists, and an invitation to have your group create your own. That spawned a display of celebration meals that included Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Buddhist among others. It was a great way to show the common thread among us. They also had a view of history among nuns through the 60’s, and many local treasures, some dating back to the disciples. They also have a lovely museum cafe.

    Excellent- well worth a visit
Not keen on religious objects normally I was unsure about this museum. However, it was modern and eclectic . I was there before Christmas, and there was a modern depiction of a nativity scene made of cardboard, very well done. There was an exhibition of holidays of many different religions, Christian, Jewish., Hindu, and Muslim. There was a wonder collection of Russian icons, whose el greco -like figures and gold background I always enjoy. The cakes i. The coffee shop come from a special bakery and were refined and very good. The garden was pleasant, though this was winter and probably not at its best. A very enjoyable and worthwhile afternoon.
