3.5Dolfinarium(853 reviews) - Very nice Spent More than 3 hours Aquariums
An unforgettable day A visit to the Dolfinarium is an unforgettable day out for the whole family. Because how often do you get the chance to meet dolphins, take a close look at sea lions and touch sharks? Use all of your senses You can easily spend an entire day at Europe's largest marine mammal park. Take a stroll from the Dolfijnendelta (Dolphin Delta) – where newborn dolphins swim – to the Zeehondenzand (Seal Sand) where common seals live together with grey seals. Listen to the rowdy sea lions and see with your own eyes how enormous walruses are. At the Roggenrif (Ray Reef) you get to meet some smaller inhabitants of the North Sea. Sea bass, rainbow trout and anemones, for example. You can observe them closely and learn all about these interesting creatures. You can even touch the sharks and the rays. Eye to eye Of course you get to take a close look at our marine mammals. There are eleven unique shows in which the dolphins, sea lions and walruses show you their best moves. Be amazed and moved by their extraordinary appearance! Animal welfare first The Dolfinarium has been around for nearly fifty years. Over the years we have done a lot of research and made a significant contribution to the protection of the animals in the wild. Animal welfare has always been and will always be our top priority in our research. We take care of our marine animals with a lot of love, passion and respect. And it shows: the animals in Harderwijk grow (a lot) older than their congeners in the wild and every year many babies are born in our park. As the main sponsor of Stichting SOS Dolfijn we are proud that we are able to help increase the well-being of the animals.See more..

3.5Sauna Drôme Putten(177 reviews) - Nice relative small Sauna with excelent kitchen Thermal Spas
Sauna accommodation is 70% outdoor activity incl. sauna cabin on boat (ca. 12 min tour). Hot swimming pool and 2 whirlpools outdoor (also 1 indoor). Cosy atmosphere because of small scale. Sauna's excellent dry. Possibilities for cooling down are limited. Loylo (Aufguss) frequent and very special to end a relaxing day. Infra red cabin, no added value. Restaurant is rather big. Nice lounge corner. Food (We only had the lunch) was excellent.See more..
After arriving on time for our 2pm slot we were made to wait an hour until our instructors were free. We then were asked what size wetsuit we wanted and all the people who wanted a small were told that there were none left as there was another group using the smalls. This meant that 6 or our group had to wear wetsuits that were WAY to big for them....on day in early May...not ideal! The activities themselves were fun. I wouldn't recommend them to people who are not active. You have to sign a waiver to say that all activities are at your own risk and there are not many safety checks in place. All in all it was a fun afternoon but there were some frustrating aspects. See more..
3.5Sauna & Beauty Oase(143 reviews) - First experience with dutch sauna Spas
it was my first experience with dutch sauna. was shock to see men and women together naked at start. but all dutch react normally except one italian who was to much excited to meet me there. the sauna left nice impression what i cannot say about beauty salon. the depilation was terrible and therapist not even made bikini line as was requested and paid (iam not even mention that she would never do full vaxing of intimate zone as i do in Russia)See more..
3.5Museumpark Orientalis(108 reviews) - Villages as Jesus would have seen them, but too little on the world religions Tuesday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality Museums
Interesting idea: Let us build villages that take you 2000 years back, to the stories that you would read in the bible. And on sunny days, the villages also come to life. Interesting that the government of Oman sponsors the Arab village, makes it special. What I miss is a good description of the differences of the 3 world religions. Considering they all have the same roots, it would be so useful and important to explain the similarities, differences and interpretations - in kids language ! That would make it a perfect contemporary museum of the past.See more..
3.5Museum Arnhem(106 reviews) - Newly renovated and reopened modern-art museum with sculpture garden Temporarily closed - Closed until further notice Speciality Museums
Museum Arnhem is a museum of modern art, contemporary art, applied art and design. The museum is currently closed for renovation. We reopen the museum in the spring of 2022.See more..
3.5Sauna & Beauty de Veluwe(87 reviews) - Wonderful & relaxing way 2 spend a rainy afternoon. Spas
Spontaneous decision to go and relax together after a few intens weeks. Wonderful and small sized sauna, when it's not to busy especially nice. I hope they are gonna update everything to the style of the entrance of the sauna area: beautiful mosaic. Coz in daylight for instance the scrub area does not look that nice. The menu is really extended & tasty. Pity that (while customers are continueous pointed at it) the bar staff does not contribute to a peaceful atmosphere. Young girls that loudly talk about trivial stuff. See more..

3.0Watervallen van de Vrijenberger Spreng(61 reviews) - Fun to go to and see this waterfall. Nice hikingplace with young children. Spent < 1 hour Waterfalls

3.5Historische Kelders(46 reviews) - Large space, interesting stories Speciality Museums
A tour through the historic cellars is nice and interesting. Many cellars have been connected underground, so you get to see quite some space. The stories about their original function and subsequent use are interesting. The spaces themselves are a bit dull though. Still worth a visit if you like history, or if you just want to do something different from the ordinary.See more..
3.0Sky Service Netherlands Day Tours(43 reviews) - Great experience, but the place could be improved Temporarily closed - Closed until further notice Sightseeing Tours
Flying for 15 minutes and experiencing the control in the airplane is simply great. My pilot was friendly and professional. A perfect experience for me. The place though is spartan. It's basically an hangar with a small office. Probably in order to keep it affordable to all, you have to pay for every extra. And that's the first thing they tell you. When they offered me a coffee I didn't expect I was supposed to drop one euro in the machine. Also, strict policies on reservation and cancellation ahead the flight make you feel less welcome... But the personnel is kind and nice. Anyway, I would repeat the experience of flying immediately! See more..
We actually didn't plan visiting Wijchen, as we were doing a cycle tour, but stopped in the center for drinks and found the castle. Didn't go in, but it looks lovely and very well maintained. Perfect for some nice pictures.See more..
3.0Fundustry Viking Adventures(36 reviews) - Expensive, even with a voucher Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM Spent 2-3 hours Game & Entertainment Centers
We received a voucher from Decathlon for the Fundustry. The voucher is comparable to most of the reviewers here: 3 hours of airsoft for 10 persons, 75 pallets each. In reality, 75 pallets is just enough for 30min airsoft. So be prepared to pay for more pallets. The plus side is that a guide is appointed to your group to explain the rules, safety issues and as a referee during the game. The guns are all functional and are swapped when malfunction. The terrain is staged with obstacles for the gameplay. Besides airsoft there is paintball, archery and many outdoor activities on site. See more..
3.5The Man with the two hats(34 reviews) - The National Canadian War Memorial Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Man With Two Hats monument symbolizes dualities. It represents the end of the horrors of war but in the same vein the peace and freedom. It symbolizes the two countries of Canada and the Netherlands. The outstretched arms symbolize the liberation of the Netherlands and also the reaching out of country to country. With the donation of this monument, the Netherlands pays a lasting tribute to Canada. A statue identical to this one stands in Ottawa, Ontario. The twin monuments symbolically the solidarity between Canada and the Netherlands. The location is just on the opposite of "De Naald" a famous monument of Apeldoorn. It is not really an attraction unless you are interested in the history of warSee more..

3.5Museum De Casteelse Poort(27 reviews) - To know the city histoty, visit this museum Speciality Museums
I went to this museum to get to know better the history of Wageningen city. 3.5Uilen- en Dierenpark De Paay(23 reviews) - Diverse animals, good value for money Tuesday: Spent 1-2 hours Zoos
We came from the wrong direction, so didn't know where the parking lot was. But that was cleared up quite soon. Quite big parking lot for such a 'small' park. We did see some negative reviews before we went. But not everyone may notice that this park is operated/maintained by volunteers. Yes some shelters are quite small but the animals still have enough space. Some monkey's, etc. have crawling space to other parts of there shelter. Some shelters were empty but that is something you see everywhere. There are a lot of different owls. And also some other animals that you normally wouldn't see that soon in big zoo's. But there are also some 'normal' animals like ducks, cow's, etc. Be aware: the paths are nature-roads. And there is one set of stairs to cross from one part to the other side.See more..
3.5Vadesto Outdoor Adventure(20 reviews) - Beautiful Time in Hattem Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 AM Boat Tours
I'm a student studying in the Netherlands and visiting family. We spent a day at Vadesto and it was such a great time. We met the owner and he was a very hospitable guy. While we were there we spent time on the wooden shoe boats, the river tour, and archery. It was only a handful of all the choices to pick from. We found you can host group events at the pavilion and we hope to have our next family event here.See more..

3.5Escape Room Harderwijk(15 reviews) - Unremarkable Escape Room with some significant design flaws Closed now - 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Escape Games
The former Carriage house and Horse Stable of the Staverden Domain are home of the Uddelaer Beer Brewery and the Uddelaer Brewpub. The Staverden Domain, well known as the smallest town of the Netherlands, is surrounded by the most beautiful nature reserve of the Veluwe. A real pinnacle when visiting the Veluwe region. Staverden, famous for its gardens, biking and hiking trails and... white peacocks! Brewery Tours and Beer Tastings, meeting the brewmaster, a unique ambiance with a history going back to the twelfth century, and always 8 different draft beers on tap. This is enjoying the Uddelaer beers, sitting between brewing vessels or on the terrace with views on the Staverden Castle. The tradition of the Uddelaer craft beer brewing and the rich history of the Staverden Domain: it's a wonderful combination.See more..
3.5City Hall(13 reviews) - one of the few old buildings in Wageningen left Historic Sites • Government Buildings
It is sad that old Wageningen was virtually completely destroyed during the 2nd World War, but this gem remains. We were unable to go inside as we were there too late, but it gives a feel for the sort of buildings the town had in past centuries. It was a special trip for me because me great-grandfather and his whole family for generations came from Wageningen, and it gave me a peep into the past.See more..

3.5Linnaeustorentje(7 reviews) - A bit odd Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
It sometimes happens: a building is demolished except for a tower or a chimney. The remaining structure than survives for considerable time and stands lost in new surroundings. Almost tragic the 16th century gothic style tower of the former commandery of St. John is such a remainder. Later named after Linnaeus the famous Swedish scholar who studied at Harderwijk university and who most probably had no affinity for medieval orders at all.See more..
3.5Matenpark(7 reviews) - Fantastic park to hang out at Biking Trails • Parks • Playgrounds
Matenpark is seemingly an undiscovered jewel; I was surprised to not see it on here. I say that because it's surprisingly well-equipped for being a residential park; nestled on all sides by housing, it has a skatepark and a number of fun little things to do, like crossing the water via balancing, pulling yourself across, or stepping on chains. It also has a number of trails and paths to walk down or cycle on. I enjoyed the time I spent here, and the weather was lovely as well. :)See more..

This building in the center of Harderwijk dates from the 1830s, a time when the glorydays of the city were definitely over. The past in the form of three historic buildings has been buried behind an imposing neoclassicist facade typical for many 19th century public institutions. While looking at it, you get the impression the architecture serves to underscore the importance of the local elite. Not exactly gracious or open-minded.See more..
See more..
This enormous churchbuilding in the center of the old town is missing a tower. It once was the highest structure in Gelre, but collapsed in 1797 and was never rebuilt. The architect Teunis Wittenberg assigned to restore the old church was a staunch supporter of the French revolution. Perhaps the reason for erecting a sober neoclassicist French style facade that is not well integrated with the remains of the 14th to 16th century gothic church. The result is not very appealing, but Lodewijk Napoleon ruling the Netherlands at the time of reconstruction must have been delighted.See more..
