Highlight of our trip!
We did a half-day photography excursion in Grand Teton with Jack and Gina of Team 399 as part of a week-long visit to the area. This was definitely one of the highlights of the trip! They did an amazing job of balancing the time for the landscape photographer (me) and the rest of my family who wanted to see wildlife so that everyone had an amazing time. I still can't believe all we were able to do and see in 6 hours, but things never felt rushed, and they were great at tailoring the experience based on our desires and real-time conditions. They REALLY know the great photo spots and animals in this area, especially the grizzlies, and it was great to hear their stories and passion even if we weren't able to see a grizzly ourselves. We left much wiser to the lives of bears! There are lots of excursion options, but if you want one that brings decades of local knowledge to create a day totally tailored to the interests of your small group, Team 399 is the way to go!

Great photographic tour with two experts
We talked to Jack and Gina by phone before booking their photography tour, and they both were very informative and helpful. My husband and I and another couple who are good friends all joined in a half-day tour with Jack and Gina back in June (apologies, Jack and Gina, that I have been so slow in writing a review!). Our goal was to find 399, and we did! However, we glimpsed her and the quads in a heavily wooded area so we didn't get a good view of the cubs, and it was just about impossible to pull off photography. Jack pulled off down the road and we waited for awhile hoping that 399 would come our way, but had no luck. After that, Jack drove us all around in hopes of finding her again, while Gina checked texts and listened to her radio for any tips on bear sightings. They made a valiant effort to find 399 for us again, driving to all of 399's favorite haunts within Grand Teton National Park, to some spots multiple times. We also stopped at many scenic viewpoints, and Jack provided tips on getting the best landscape photography shots, as well as pointers on wildlife photography. We enjoyed spotting an active blue heron nest. During the drive, Jack and Gina both shared their knowledge about the area, the park, 399, and other wildlife. We enjoyed learning more about Grand Teton's wildlife; their knowledge and expertise were appreciated. They both truly have a caring and protective heart towards wildlife, which I greatly admire and appreciate all that they do to help protect the wildlife that we love to see and to photograph.

Fantastic Welcome to the Tetons!
I booked a 1/2 day photographic safari with Jack & Gina Bayles for the first full day of my Tetons trip. It was incredible & I can’t wait to return and safari with them again. Later in the week I attended a photo workshop that I expected to be mostly landscape, and asked that we focus mostly on animals. We saw moose, bison, elk, bighorn sheep, grouse, otters, mule deer, bald eagles & tundra swan. We also stopped for some scenic shots and Jack was very helpful with photo pointers. By learning of the animal locations I was also able to go back throughout the week and see/photograph wildlife in action. Jack & Gina arrived on time and with plenty of Scooby snacks & water. Their ride was very comfortable and we were covid masks when in the car/next to each other. I can’t wait for my return! I highly recommend them and if possible, make their safari the first part of your trip.
