Teton Whitewater - great whitewater rafting company in Jackson, Wyoming

Our family of 4 (2 boys 11 & 13) went on our first whitewater adventure and thanks to our guide Landon with Teton Whitewater it was so much fun. We were with a group of 10 people total and my kids sat on the very front of the raft and were "riding the bull" basically the whole time and loved it. Landon made it personable and joked around with everyone while making us feel safe with his expertise in rafting through the Snake river. Everyone from our bus driver to the whole team was great. We would recommend Teton Whitewater to anyone who wants to go rafting in Jackson, Wyoming. It was our favorite memory on our vacation.

    Best Class 5’s on the Snake!
    Small Boat Slam! We met at the office at 7:45am, where we rented wetsuits for $10 per person, water shoes were also available for rent. (Last year we went rafting near Blue River, Oregon where these were included, so that was disappointing.) The bus left at 8:05am and we had a great driver, Brad, who also had excellent taste in music (rock from the 70’s to present!) It was a 40min drive to the ramp where we were given life jackets with instruction and they were checked. Apparently splash jackets are included, but not offered unless you ask. We got in our boat with Kenton, who was a perfect guide! He gave us safety instructions, options for more splash and safe swims, pointed out wildlife, got to know us, and was very informed about the area! We had a blast! We went July 31st, it was about 60 degrees with the sun out, and as a small woman I was fine getting drenched with all the gear! None of us fell out, we only wished for a longer trip, as we were only on the water for about 90 minutes. Professional pictures are available to buy, for $25 a piece, but overall we loved it!

    Outstanding scenic/whitewater trips
    Would highly recommend Teton Whitewater outfitters, their staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We scheduled the scenic/whitewater combo for the day. For the 13 mile scenic float in the morning we had Jake as our guide, he was fun to talk with and very knowledgeable about the scenery and the wildlife that we would see along the way which included bald eagles, osprey, ducks and the highlight of the float, a bull moose, feeding just 30 yards from us. After the float we returned to the office where they provided us with a nice lunch and a short break before being sized for our wetsuits. For the whitewater trip we opted for the small boat slam, which provides for a more exciting ride. We had 6 people, plus our guide Skyler who was very informative about the do's and don'ts of whitewater rafting. He was a great guide and made the trip enjoyable and safe for our entire group, and also explained the history of the section of river that we were floating that day.
