   We visited Plaza de Espana twice while we lived in Spain. The first time was on a Monday in April 2021 and the place was not busy at all! The second time, at the end of July/beginning of August, it was MUCH busier. It's much hotter this time of year but it does seem to be when everyone has the time off! We enjoyed watching a few people dance (they of course pass around a hat for money). There's not much to actually do in the Plaza but plenty of pretty photo ops! Part of the building was used in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, where Anakin and Padmé arrive on Naboo. Granted it was 5 years ago but apparently in 2018, Plaza de Espana in Seville was TripAdvisor's #2 top landmark of the year! See more..

   Visited Ronda for a day in January. We lucked out with beautiful warm weather which allowed us to comfortably walk around the old city and see the sites. If you like old cities and architecture this is a great place to visit. The road up from Costa Del Sol is a winding road with lots of curves so if you get motion sickness think about renting a car instead of taking the bus. We parked in an underground lot to avoid the hassle of driving around looking for a free spot on the out skirts of town.     We did a lunch-time market tour and cooking class. Our chef, and her assistant - who also gave us a tour of the market - were terrific. They have such passion for the culture and cuisine of Spain. The dishes we produced were so redolent of Spain, and each one was delicious.     We moved to Jerez for business and family reasons and never expected to be part of such a buzzing cultural city. The Feria is a unique and unmissable experience and as all the locals will attest it is wonderfully open for drinks and lunch - unlike the Seville feria where access to the eating/drinking areas is by invitation. After 3 years of feria in Jerez we are now seasoned visitors, arriving in full sevillana dress for me and the kids. Husband makes do in jeans and a jacket as do the locals. The fair by daytime is magical with the well appointed horses and carriages and freedom to eat and drink and dance. By night the atmosphere is packed and much more nightclub and rather "ugly" if you're looking for culture per se.     We hiked from the Parador to Gilillo. Superb track, easy hiking. Unfortunately we could not find Cabeza de la Virgen. The Maps leave a lot to be desired. What you want is maps like you get in Austria and other alpine countries. We only had one full day so the hike we did was perfect (as one does not need a good map for it).     Absolutely incredible. A gorgeous trail, easy paths, dog friendly, stunning nature, must do! You can choose a short or long walk, and it is relatively easy if you take your time. To get to the picturesque river, it will take roughly 1 hour. I suggest going earlier in the morning, as the trail was rather packed by around 11am and then it'll be scorching hot by the time you finish. Our guide was friendly and informative and spent a few minutes letting us test out our driving skills (four of the five of us were newbies) and then we were off to see the sites.     We found this gem on tripadvisor and are so glad we visited. Such a well set out and informative display of all aspects of the environment, planting, growth, harvesting, production and everything you can think of relating to olive oil. All information screens and interactive features are also in English and its amazing how it has all been put together. Staff especially Luis were very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable.     My wife and I experienced this tour with one other person along with our guide Jose. Jose provided an amazing 90 minute tour of the Jewish Quarter and demonstrated his vast historical knowledge. The information covering 2700 years of Seville history was fascinating. The tour helped us to explore other aspects of the city on subsequent days. At the completion of the tour we were treated to 3 tapas and 2 drinks at a local tapas bar where we continued to share information and get to know each other. This is a tour I would highly recommend.     The guided tour was excellent, well worth the money. Our guide was very knowledgeable and obviously love her job - even though she spoke no English and we not enough Spanish so had to rely on our Spanish host to help out.     I went together with my brother and parents. My brother and I tried horse riding for the first time, and it was a great place doing just that. We first booked a 1 hour trip, and to days after, we went for a 3,5 hour trip. It was beautiful nature and a really nice trip in the fantastic mountains. The "farm": I think there name now is: Picadero La Suerte! it is a pretty big place and we really felt like they treat the horses great. The staff: It is a family business and all the people where friendly. The only minus with the hole experience, was that it was a bit hard to communicate, since we speak English, and they mostly Spanish.
