4.5Playa de Bolonia Tarifa(3.242 reviews) - What is the Guide Michelin saying, "worth a trip"? Beaches
The coastline has no shortage of beaches, city beach with sunbeds and the city's offer or wide stretches of white sand and fewer opportunities for food & drink. The first thing that struck us was how many people there were on a weekday in September, the next a bit of a struggle to find parking. Then it is above all a piece of breathtaking nature, clear water, solid bottom and many kilometers of white sand.Yes, there are some restaurants plus an archaeological excavation, which not all beaches can boast of.The downside was that we got a parking damage at the semi-supervised parking lot.See more..
4.0Burriana Beach(3.009 reviews) - Paella on Burriana beach Beaches
Go and have a paella at one of the restaurants on the beach. Nice beach with a play area for children. Sun beds and sun shades. Expensive hire of sun beds though 10 euros for two beds at this time of year so be prepared if you are going in the summer it may be a lot higher See more..
4.5Playa de la Barrosa(2.761 reviews) - Golden sand that goes on and on Beaches
A glorious stretch of beach by the Riu Chiclana Hotel where we stayed 12th to 19th May. A wooden staircase leads across the mighty dunes down to the golden sand which stretches along the Spanish southwestern coast for 6 kilometres (3.7 miles). The waves of the Atlantic Ocean wash up on to the shore. Some bars/restaurants were open along the beach others were in the process of preparing to open. There were some sunbeds and umbrellas available to hire. Such a long beach and ideal spot for walking. It was a bit chilly when we were here and people were paddling in the sea rather than braving it and swimming. The area was the site of the Battle of Barrosa in 1811. The Park of the Battle, memorial park, commemorating the Battle is nearby. The defensive tower Torre Bermeja is another feature.See more..
When i booked to stay in the area, I knew nothing of the area other than it was relatively quiet. So I did a little Google as you do, checked a few trip advisor reviews & came across a German bunker. Great gives the husband something to look at as he is into his WWII history. In 7 days we found 6 German bunkers all with in a 2hrs walking distance from our hotel. 4 of which are accessible to climb on/in. On the down side it was scaling one of these bunkers that the husbands mobile phone decided it was going for a swim in the sea. (note - please keep your phone safe & dry). On another note, we couldn't have asked for a more relaxed holiday, quiet wasn't the word. There are restaurants/bars open mainly in the evening and the odd shop here and there. But it is mainly just a chilled out soak up the sun kind of place with deserted soft golden sandy beaches. See more..
4.5La Caleta Beach(1.804 reviews) - Glorious Little Beach Beaches
Caleta is a great place to unwind and watch the Sun go down. It is not far from anywhere in the old city and you will find bars and restaurants very close by. Just next to Caleta is a walkway it to the old fortified buildings that protected Cádiz from attack by sea, but that it works to well when the English were busy marauding ☹️See more..
Do the excursion. It's worth the drive, and it's worth the HIKE down. It is by far the best beach I have seen so far. Water clear as spring water, it's a hidden Gem. See more..
Beautiful beach with lots of bars to relax in. There’s wind surfing and surfing shops and boutiques. It’s a lovely walk along the front. See more..
4.5Monsul Beach(1.142 reviews) - Very beautiful beach, very nice views, very good trekking Beaches • Parks
Playa de los Genoveses is a beach located in Cabo de Gata National Park, in Almeria region, in the south part od Spain. The beach is very beautiful and it is a place, where you can sunbath or bath during all day. Also, it is possible to do some excursions in the surroundings to see very nice views of the zone. Probably, one of the best beaches in the zone. Very recommendable. Pitifully, when we came here in September-2017, it was bad weather and we could not bath in the sea. (See also Lighthouse, Playa de los Genovese, Las Salinas, Playa las Salinas, Playa Islote del Moro and Casa Miguel Restaurant)See more..
4.0Serena Beach(1.039 reviews) - What a beach and promenade Beaches
If this beach had fine yellow sand would be off the scale....its huge.Sadly its a dirty pebble affair but didn't spoil it for me.Brilliant promenade runs along its length with space for walking jogging and specific cycle space.Cycles can be hired easily.Good number of facilities along it that dont spoil it by being too many.Hotels are not built right up.to the edge along most of it and there is clear green space or low level apartments.Brilliant.See more..
4.0Playa de Aguadulce(932 reviews) - Excellent resort , with a real flavour of Spain Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Beaches
We stopped in an Apartment overlooking the beach. Good links to Almeria using local bus for €1.35 each. Plenty of local eateries for meals snacks and drinks. Very nice beach with all the facities you would expect. Excellent place to snorkel with crystal clear water.See more..
This is THE most perfect place to camp for free. Mid March we camped here in our rented campervan. We are a young family (2 adults, 2yo and 4yo). It was definitely not too busy, but I can imagine this place will be crowded in high season. The beach is beautiful and if you like kite surfing, this will be the place. Another recommendation will be having a drink (and a bite) at the sea side terrace on Camping Torre de la Peña.See more..
Quiet, calm water with rolling waves, soft golden sand and wide beach, great for walking! There are few beach clubs where you can rent umbrella (5 euro/day), sunbeds. Good long boardwalk along the beach with restaurants, bars and some exercise equipment. You also can enjoy the breathtaking sunsets!See more..
Walk to Playa de los Lances Sur and watched the kite surfers. Facing the water to the right are where the kite surfers were on the Atlantic Ocean. Facing the water to the left is the Mediterranean Sea. So windy, and awesome to watch. At the rear of the left hand (Mediterranean) side is Playa Chica which is on the Mediterranean Sea side. The peninsula at the end of the walkway was not open to the public. Fabulous place to just be, while watching the kite surfers. The wind is loud, powerful, and it blows sand in your eyes on occasion. Awesome.See more..
A beautiful, flat, sandy beach covering more distance than most people can walk, also quite deep; which together mean this beach is big. More space than people. We walked for kilometres with the dog morning and evening whilst we were here along with so many others but the place was never even close to being crowded: very enjoyable indeed. Be aware that it is very open and I guess would get very hot during the day, also not many places to get refreshment so better to be prepared.See more..
4.5Playa de los Genoveses(543 reviews) - Stunning beach, shallow clear water, very popular Beaches
What a perfect beach - a semicircle of soft sand, picturesque mountains behind, clear clean water (& usually warm as it’s so shallow). Super-popular in summer when there’s a queuing system to drive along the 2km approach track to the car park, though there is a coastal footpath to the nearer end of the beach from the SW eve of San Jose. No facilities on the beach so bring lots of food and cold drinks - & then just lap up the sun See more..
4.0Playa de Matalascañas(529 reviews) - Great beach! Amazing Sunsets! Spent More than 3 hours Beaches • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Hiking Trails
Great beach for families. Very warm water and fine sand. Has some litter during busy season and gets a bit crowded. The beach is full At sunset, which is at about 21:00 In August. See more..
4.5Calas de Roche(517 reviews) - Pristine beaches with big waves, no beach club nor toilettes Beaches
Fantastic, pristine beaches. As such you won't find any infrastrucutruew such as toilettes, beach clubs/chiringuitos or showers but if you can live without this, the beaches great. Strong and relatively high waves (2m to 3m at times). Sandy and wide, long beaches so kids can play, and there's plenty of room for beach tennis. If you plan on spending the day there, bring your own food and drinks and please leave your trash in the garbage tons next to the road - we all need to contribute to keep the beaches and environment clean. You will need to walk from the parking area for about 4 minutes towards the cliff and from there down a safe wooden / rock stair. See more..
Lots of bird watching and nice walks not many shops with in a short walk but the main town about 1.5 miles away with a good selection plus a couple of supermarket ,a nice port also there See more..
4.0Playas de Vera(372 reviews) - Fantastic beach Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
Have been to this beach many times, both on own and with partners. The nudist area sometimes mixes into the clothed area, but never seems to be a problem. Obviously very busy in summer but never feels too crowded. Have never used the bars or stayed at the resort. Always drive down (never had a problem parking). Pull up, strip off and walk from car to beach if you want to be naked from moment u arrive. You can also walk round the resort area naked if you desire. Had a quick trip to local area and went for a run early morning. Very chilly but not a soul there; can highly recommend jogging there this time of year (clothed or naked - I did both!) Without seeing anyone bat a couple of dog walkers.See more..
3.5Matalascanas(310 reviews) - Winter excursion to beach/dunes. Beaches
Cold wind and many places were closed the to this being a beach community. BUT, if you want to be alone to walk the beach and explore the dunes it is a great time, just dress for the weather. Drawback is there was some damaged areas of boardwalk through the dunes that were hazards to children and since it was off season it appears that nobody was checking/fixing things. Family still had fun and enjoyed the Parque Dunar and beach area.See more..
Perfect place to spend a sunny day. Mainly nudist beach with a few clothed guests. Two nice restaurants. Book a table in advance on a Saturday or Sunday. Crystal clear, but chilly, water is excellent for snorkelling. Great beach chilled vibe.See more..

4.5Cala de Enmedio(234 reviews) - LOVELY SANDY BEACH IN A BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE Beaches
We spent a few days in Agua Amarga; a place I have always wanted to visit. What a charming little village and beach. Frequented mostly by Spanish which suited us. This beach is beautiful, very nice sand and sea easily accessible. Loved this place, will return.See more..
4.5Playa de Cuesta Maneli(202 reviews) - Mesmerizing wild beach with a pleasant walk Beaches
To get to this beach you will have to drive and then walk for 20 or 30 minutes, but it is really worth it! First drive to Mazagón and then continue towards Matalascañas (ctra. -494), in the km. 39 you will see a small parking lot with some wooden benches. There you can leave your car and start the picturesque wooden path bound to the beach. It is a 1,2 km. long trail but the surroudings are extremely beautiful: a sea of pine trees weirdly growing amidst sand dunes. Near the beach you will see sand and rock cliffs with dramatic views of the coastline, and you can climb them actually, The beach is completely wild and unspoiled. It is basically an endless sandy beach near one of the paramount ecosites of Huelva: Parque Nacional de Doñana. There are no bars or “chiringuitos”, so do not forget to bring your beverages and food with you. Probably, the most spectacular and quiet beach in HuelvaSee more..
