- 5.0 Seascape Kayak Tours Inc. (44 reviews)
-Absolute must do!
Kayaking & Canoeing
My tween/teen boys, mother in law and I spent a wonderful half day on the sea kayaks with Bruce. We had some incredible up close encounters with curious Harbor Seals, saw some bald eagles and even a Minke whale! Bruce is extremely knowledgeable about the local area and wildlife, and he shared so many interesting facts with us. He took plenty of time at the beginning to teach us novice kayakers how to use the foot pedals and paddles efficiently, and took plenty of breaks to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves. I would highly recommend booking a kayak trip with Seascape if you visit Passamaquoddy Bay and Deer Island, it’s worth it! See more..
- 5.0 Campobello Sightseeing (44 reviews)
-Excellent knowledgeable, energetic, friendly, flexible guide!
Sightseeing Tours
Having lived on the island for many years, Peter is very knowledgeable about both the historical aspects of Campobello as well as local lore. He is enthusiastic and shares his love of history and nature easily as he gives a three hour comfortable van tour of the island. Our group of four adults appreciated Peter’s thoughtfulness. He called me the day before to see if we needed anything and suggested we leave our car on Deer Island. This made the ferry trip more enjoyable, saved us money, and ensured we had no difficulty getting on the ferry to Campobello. He picked us up at the ferry, stopped at the Roosevelt Visitors Center for washrooms, toured various parts of the whole island, and returned to the Center for lunch and a tour of the Roosevelt Cottage given by Center guides.he returned us to the ferry in good time. Peter gave each couple a receipt for our tour and explained the New Brunswick 20% travel rebate program which we had not been aware of. A very enjoyable day! Highly recommend Peter’s tour. See more..

- 5.0 Red Rock Adventure (41 reviews)
-Great Sunset Paddle
Eco Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
This trip has to be timed with high tides, and when the timing works like it did for us, it is priceless. Adam and Nick were very knowledgeable, both about kayaking and the areas we would see around St. Martins. We were well prepped (sea kayaking is much different than lake) before heading out. We made to a remote beach in daylight, and had a nice snack of smoked salmon, cheese, crackers and cucumber. Just enough refuel for the paddle back! We watched the sunset on our return trip and pulled into St. Martins in twilight. Thanks very much Red Rock - can't wait to do this again. See more..

- 5.0 Distillerie Fils du Roy (24 reviews)
-Tasting experience
Friday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Distilleries
While traveling up the Acadian Peninsula we stopped in at the Distillerie Fils du Roy. What an absolutely amazing experience. We had a great personalized tour Of the distillery by Rosa and then she personally guided us through tastings of their beers (too many to remember but all very good) followed by their distilled spirits. Boy did we taste a lot of good spirits, and boy did we learn a lot about liquor. After an amazing 1-1/2 hours we finally departed with our new found appreciation of beer and distilled spirits, and also a few bottles of both. All of this was free, no charge and no expectations of purchasing any of their products. Other wineries, craft beer or distilleries charge for tastings. If we could give them a 10 we would give them an 11. This was the highlight of our three day staycation. A hidden gem in our province of New Brunswick! See more..

- 5.0 Arpin Canoe Restigouche (21 reviews)
-Fabulous!
Friday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM Kayaking & Canoeing
We were accommodated eventhough the place was super busy with groups, and driven up with our gear for a 17.5 km paddle down the Kedgwick River. Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable, and even though it was really busy, we managed to pass the earlier groups and had the quiet, cool, pristine river to ourselves. Paddleing was mostly leisurely, with a few areas that were more tricky with low water and rocks, and some fairly easy Rapids. We made good time, swam 3 times, picnic, and were back in about 4h. Again upon our return staff was awesome. Thanks so much! See more..

The work achieved through this restoration is simply magnificent and even if you do not get to see a show - it is simply a must to see as a 'attraction visit'. It is open for visitors throughout the day and they appear to encourage people to enter the theatre and view the restoration work. The restoration work was completed by master tradespeople including those brought in from overseas in order to replicate the methodology/outcomes of the original techniques. It is said that one can stand on the stage and speak quietly with a normal voice and it can be heard anywhere within the theatre. Well worth seeing. See more..
- 4.5 Miscou Island Lighthouse (93 reviews)
-Scenic
Lighthouses
We are just back from a 6 day visit to the Acadian Peninsula. We had a lovely visit to the lighthouse, it was sunny but windy. It's an easy climb up the lighthouse (wide stairs until the ladder at the top). We enjoyed to lovely views from the top. I think it was $5 each, we paid cash so I'm not sure if they take cards. We also enjoyed walking along the beach, it's a rocky shore. Restaurant and shop were closed for the season on September 7 (day after labour day for 2021). See more..

- 4.5 Mulholland Point Lighthouse (84 reviews)
-Great views and a nice place to picnic.
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lighthouses
I love lighthouses and have dragged my husband along winding roads some of which are unpaved "just" to see a lighthouse. Last year when we visited Acadia and Schoodic, we made our way to Lubec to see the West Quoddy lighthouse. When in Lubec, we saw the Mulholland Lighthouse from a distance but couldn't cross into Canada due to the pandemic. This year I was determined to go. Getting to this lighthouse was easy--just cross the Roosevelt International Bridge and you are there! The lighthouse was constructed in 1884 to guide vessels through the Lubec Narrows, the passage between Campobello Island and Maine. There is a picnic area and steps leading down to the water. This is the only lighthouse shared by both Canada and the US and is located within Roosevelt International Park. It has great views of the FDR Bridge and Lubec across the narrows. Go and enjoy! - 4.5 New River Beach Provincial Park (79 reviews)
-A beautiful, mystical retreat
Beaches • Parks
We visited in July 2018 actually, on a cloudy, slightly cool and mildly windy day the fog that surrounded the beach made it a very ethereal experience. We were there at low tide and there were not too many people on the beach that day. It was a very wide, long beautiful area we tried to look for Sandollar‘s but couldn’t find any, the local restaurant told us that the week prior there were a whole bunch of people looking for Sandollars and probably took them all. I wish we had more time there ...in all, a great beach. See more..

They have great pictures. I stayed on the boat but was able to see many puffins on the water and in the air.Captain Wilcox called in some puffins which allowed me to take up some close up pictures..
