-A must see just from a restoration point alone....!
Theaters
The work achieved through this restoration is simply magnificent and even if you do not get to see a show - it is simply a must to see as a 'attraction visit'. It is open for visitors throughout the day and they appear to encourage people to enter the theatre and view the restoration work. The restoration work was completed by master tradespeople including those brought in from overseas in order to replicate the methodology/outcomes of the original techniques. It is said that one can stand on the stage and speak quietly with a normal voice and it can be heard anywhere within the theatre. Well worth seeing. See more..

-Very Nice
Movie Theaters
I came here to watch Thor: Ragnorok while staying nearby at the Comfort Inn. I had a day off, but unfortunately the theatre didn't open until 6:00 pm, which was a bit of a drag. The ticket system is pretty much the standard for any Cineplex theatre with a ticket line or the automated ticket booths. The concessions is a bit unique as it is sort of cafeteria style where you go through and pick up the things you want and there is self-serve frozen yogurt and drinks and then you take whatever you are buying to a cashier at the end. I kind of wish there was a bit more of a selection, for example French Fries, something I usually get at the theatre near my home, but it is not offered here. The theatre itself was nice and clean with comfortable seats and they all had a good view of the screen. Overall I enjoyed my trip here (and the movie was great too). See more..

Greatly pleased to be back in Campbellton for the summer & find that the Cinema here is showing the latest in released movies. Very good news for the people who live here. A week or 2 after releases in major North American cities, the movies are showing here in northern NB. Lots of choices, & a week to see the movie you want each time. Very impressive. See more..

Dubbed "THE LITTLE FESTIVAL THAT COULD" the Larlee Creek Hullabaloo is an annual music festival that happens over a weekend in August and features primarily Atlantic Canadian musicians. They offer a few local vendors as well as a bar inside the show tent, there is also a campground within walking distance of this site as well as a few motels in the community. We've been attending this little gem of a festival for the past 10+ years now and always have a great time. See more..

- 5.0 The Whalen Barn (1 review)
-Best Music..look forward to Thursday evening at The Whalen Barn..
Spent 1-2 hours Concerts • Theaters
For 13 consecutive Thursday evening from Mid June to,Mid September for the 3 years now..there is some mighty fine music coming out of the 96 year old Barn.. It is a small venue..and for those who love all kinds of music this is the place to come.. Terry Whalen host the 2 hour show..he starts promptly at 7:00PM..plays a couple of song & then the rest of the evening is turned over to the Musical guest ( or gusts )@@ of the evening.. They are mostly award winning musicians for the East Coast Martime area.. There have been some appearing at The Barn that live as far away as Nashville..USA. All the money collected at the door..is given to the Artist..performing..that evening..$12 at the door..or you can purchase a season's pass for the 13 shows ( plus sometimes some extras )for $125..)Very reasonable..considering the talent that play. Came here to catch a movie during some down time while in Miramichi. Nice theatre, comfortable seats and they keep it nice and clean. Just the standard concession stand fare. They have 3D movies, although no IMAX or RealDX (or whatever it's called). Not a bad place to go if you're looking for something to do for a few hours. See more..
