From the moment we arrived the staff we amazing. 3 of our group had never been in a kayak before. The staff went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable with getting in the kayak. The had a great sense of humor, teased, but got their safety messages conveyed. What is not to love about being on the water? paddling around and seeing all the beautiful homes. Absolutely amazing day! Stephen our host was there to welcome us. He showed us how to make and cook traditional foods. The plank salmon and bread with blue berries were delicious! We had time to talk, connect, share stories and learn more about what a special place Metepenagiag First Nation has been and continues to be. He then guided us through the most beautiful river where we saw, fish hawks diving into the water and even some eagles. Our group included people of all ages and we were all able to enjoy this time. This activity is for you: if you want to float leisurely down the Nashwaak river! There are two options the long run or the short run taking 2-4 hours depending on the water levels and winds. I went with a group of 8 today and we had a blast! The company was well organized and got us on our way quickly. This is a super activity and doesn't cost much. $10 bucks for a classic inner tube or $12 for a luxury tube.See more..
