    The Irving Eco-Centre image
Always a beautiful place to go visit most times of year. ( can't go down to beach all season because they take the stairs, off for winter). You park across the road. (unless you need wheelchair parking) Easily assessable with wheel chair parking and ramps to the board walk but not to the beach itself. It is dog free because of the eco system especially the birds and there nest, but I do believe they have Kennels. Lots of beach to walk there are a few different places you can get down to the beach from the Boardwalk. They also have information center and little ecosystems educational play section for kids. You can also ask to use the BBQ at the front of the park just need to ask at the, information desk. It's free! Not far from Moncton so can go for an hour or the day. If you time it right on a, Saturday you can go to the Bouctouche market get some yummy food and lemonade to take with you. See more..

    Irishtown Nature Park image
I had the pleasure of spending an hour on these trails during a recent visit to Moncton. My time was limited, but I got to hike four of the trails, and each of them was completely different. From a single track, heavily rooted trail, to an extremely well groomed, extra wide path, and my favourite, the John Howard trail, I absolutely loved it. Great work Moncton! See more..

Our flight from Bathurst was cancelled so we took a taxi there. It is amazingly beautiful and peaceful. There are toilets. All the trails are well marked. There are excellent information signs everywhere about the animals, birds, and plants/trees. We saw chickadee, and red squirrels plus some amazing dragonfly. Sadly we didn’t see waders or any other wildlife. However it was a great way to spend 2-3 hours See more..

  11. 4.5 Mary's Point Bird Sanctuary/Shepody National Wildlife area (16 reviews)
    - Peaceful spot with or without the birds
Spent < 1 hour Nature & Wildlife Areas
Mary's Point Bird Sanctuary/Shepody National Wildlife area image
We stopped at Mary's Point in mid-August hoping to catch the migrating birds. While we did not see the massive flocks we had envisioned in our minds (and had been seen there the day before), there were still plenty on the shore that day and more were coming in as the tide was changing. Only a couple of people around, so very peaceful and relaxing to walk to and on the upper part of the beach and rocks (didn't go all the way to the water, since there were birds there). A very nice visitor center with helpful rangers, lots of information about the wildlife and birds, restrooms, and a telescope set up to view the birds out across the marsh and bay shore. Wish we could have spent more time. See more..

Neguac Bird Sanctuary (Ile-Aux-Foins Park) image
My boyfriend and I were on a road trip from Moncton to Tracadie Sheila and decided to make a stop at this place. We had a nice time as it was very sunny. It is quite a small park but you can easily spend 1 to 2 hours here. We saw some birds: mainly ducks and seagulls but also a stilt sandpiper. The boardwalk is well maintained and allows you to discover everything this park has to offer. So if you are in the area do not hesitate to come visit this park. It might not be the best discoveries of all time, but it still offers a good break opportunity. See more..

Connor Bros Nature Preserve at Pea Point image
My spouse and I went for a short hike here. Beautiful, aromatic, forest, and nice elevated views along the coast. Quite similar to New River Beach Provincial Park, but free admission, and very quiet. The path gets a little challenging along the coastal rocks, so I wouldn't recommend it to people with mobility or balance issues. See more..
