We were fortunate to have a glorious day in October. The boat ride and info provided by the biologists on board was worth the price of admission. We did see minke whales, seals, a tuna, and bald eagles. The captain did a great job of maneuvering for optimal viewing. And we got to spend some time with the Old Sow and her piglets! Very nice, all in our group enjoyed it and we were diverse in our interests and abilities.See more..

We went on a whale watching and nature trip and was very pleased with the trip. The boat was very comfortable with seating on the first and second deck. There were handholds everywhere if needed so we felt comfortable moving around the boat when it was moving. The captain was very competent and pleasant and the biologist on board spent a lot of time with everyone identifying wildlife and places. This trip is great for people of all ages.See more..

We would give Steve a higher score if we could! Four of us took the sunset tour on Aug. 28, 2020 and had a blast. Steve and his dad provided a fun-filled, informative tour. Amazing!! We planned a very last minute trip to Grand Manan. We called him up for a tour and even though we were so short notice he made sure he would fit us in! The tour was educational and he kept it upbeat and fun! We were disappointed not to see more marine life, but nobody can guarantee whale sightings. Steve made up for it with an exciting seagull feeding act and a hands-on lesson about lobster traps. Steve is passionate and his love for the island and his work was evident in every word. We had an amazing time with Brandon and his son Grady. We brought FOUR kids ages 1-7 on board and took them to see whales, porpoises, egals, seals and finished up with some mackerel fishing. I've been on several whale watching tours, but have never had this amount of fun. He and his son were so kind and considerate with the kids. We had a party of eight and didn't feel crowded or strapped for time to get in everything. If you are looking for a taste of the east coast, a true look into island life, call Brandon. He's straight up, patient, reliable, knowledgeable and truly a saint! All of the extra fish we caught he brought back to a retired couple on Campobello Island. This was a lifelong memory I am very thankful we made with Brandon and Grady, and I can't wait for our next adventure with them!See more..
5.0Top of the Island Boat Tours(1 review) - Super Day with Capt Steve Dolphin & Whale Watching excellent day , lots of local information and history. pertinent info on local fishing and live styles, most interesting. went right to the whales, pod of 4 came next to boat. Capt Steve's converted fishing boat much better for up close and personal. upper deck was fantastic. highly recommended, dont miss it and book early, reservations only way to go soon as you get there. bring a hat and sunscreen for a great day.See more..
