3.5Covered Bridge Potato Chip(136 reviews) - Who knew potato chips could be so interesting? Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Factory Tours
I'd driven by this place so many times en route to my east coast destination, I finally decided to stop. Glad I did! I'd never really thought about what does into the making of potato chips aside from the obvious... potatoes. A self-directed tour through the factory was surprisingly interesting. Did you know potato chips were invented in 1853 in Saratoga Springs NY... and were a phenomenon solely in the US until 1921, when they were introduced in England? Or that Herman Lay popularized the snack by selling packages from the trunk of his car to US grocers in the 1920s... thereby establishing Lays as the first successful national brand? Or that chips pass through a metal detector before they're bagged? Or that nitrogen is what keeps them fresh in the bag? (tidbits of trivia you can use if you're stuck for conversation at your next office party.) The tour was $5, well worth it. And bonus! They hand you a bag of fresh potato chips at the end. Delicious!See more..

3.5Mactaquac Dam(51 reviews) - Beach at Mactaquac Park Dams
We are beach and picnic people and we took my visiting daugher and our two granddaughters to the beach at Mactaquac for a great day of fun, swimming and picnic. The shallowness of the water is great for little ones and the two year old loves to dig in the sand. We met some lovely local people there who shared their water guns and all the kids had a great day in the water. We took our kites there as well. The washroom facilities were clean and well maintained. The beach staff were busy cleaning up the "goose poop" off the beach and unfortunately it is on the grass as well. The picnic tables are great to have as you can eat without getting sand in your food. Also the tap to rinse off is a great amenity. a canteen would be helpful. No lifeguards onduty on June 22nd was surprising.See more..
3.5SKYWALK Saint John(48 reviews) - nice view but too cosstly Friday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lookouts • Observation Decks & Towers
Reversing Rapids, where the 700km St John River meets the Bay of Fundy. Step out on the SKYWALK to witness the greatest impact on a river in the world can be seen. Twice each day the tide rises 28 ft and forces the St John River to reverse direction four times. Check the tide tables to view one of three distinct tides: low tide, slack tide, or high tide. We look forward to having you visit!See more..
3.5Avenir Centre(41 reviews) - Hockey game Arenas & Stadiums
My wife had an event to attend in Moncton so I decided to check out the new arena for a hockey game. Great place to watch a hockey game. Only cons would be is the parking, I was staying at the delta so I was safe this time. Drinks and food are way over priced. I probably should have ate before I went. I would go again if I am staying downtown See more..
3.5St. George Falls(29 reviews) - Worth a quick stop, can be viewed from 2 angles Bodies of Water • Waterfalls
There is a spot to pull over to view this gorge from two locations - the main bridge through town, or a smaller bridge, lower down (a map will show this, and it's not hard to find). The best-known views are from this lower bridge, but both are worth seeing as they offer different perspectives to this powerful water flow. Quite picturesque.See more..
3.5Anderson Hollow Lighthouse(17 reviews) - Needs a bit of TLC and moderate caution. Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lighthouses
I love this area, and as someone previously mentioned, might not make a special trip to see this alone. I would combine it with the rest of the beauty in the region. Yes it is in need of some TLC, but there is no charge to come and visit for a while.See more..
Mactaquac is really in good shape, this year. The greens are really good and fun to play on. For all the golfers that are visiting the region I strongly suggest that you take a turn and include Mactaquac in your golf courses plays. The fact that it is in a provincial park, gets you the chance to see some wildlife that I find very amusing. See more..
3.5Atlantic Salmon Museum(9 reviews) - More to do with fly fishing Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality Museums This museum wasn’t quite what we expected. We were expecting more about the Atlantic Salmon, it’s life cycle and migration, but it is more about fly fishing and the lures. Still lots of artefacts to look at and spend an hour of your time.See more..

This activity is for you: if you want to float leisurely down the Nashwaak river! There are two options the long run or the short run taking 2-4 hours depending on the water levels and winds. I went with a group of 8 today and we had a blast! The company was well organized and got us on our way quickly. This is a super activity and doesn't cost much. $10 bucks for a classic inner tube or $12 for a luxury tube.See more..
3.5Chocolate Cove(5 reviews) - One of many Bodies of Water
Deer Isle has a number of coves and it seems the locals have found a way to utilize each one to make a living. At low tide you can walk out along the shore and enjoy the salty air. Most of the coves are "working" places, but they are just as picturesque. Hint: when you visit the island drive the left side following each road to the end; usually a cove, then go all the way to the campground. On the return take the right side as much as you can. If you plan to eat bring a picnic or stop at the 45th as there are very few restaurants. Plan a good 3-4 hours to see most of the island.See more..
Completely surprised by other negative reviews as we found the staff who served us extremely knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic when we visited. This is blueberry country and the Visitor Centre is easy to spot - just look for the giant blueberry models! There's plenty of parking to the front. Outside there is an old mini tractor which is great for a photo opportunity. There is plenty of info available including a great heritage map of St George which is a real gem of a town with lots of history and helpful, interesting and fun folk residing there. It is a short walk down to the old wharf which is very picturesque and there are walks along the river and a 15-20 minute hiking loop along the Magaguadavic River called Ducks Unlimited walking trail which starts behind the centre. We stayed for over a week in St George and loved every minute of it. Will be returning again to visit soon I hope unless someone lets me live there permanently!See more..
This was a really great place. Went for a walk around the sand bars as the tide was going out. There is a cute camping spot. A nice view of the confederation bridge and we even wandered around the old ferry docks to the old light house. I would like to come back and camp here one day :)See more..
The McCain Library is open all year and stages a new show about every 6 weeks. Sometimes the artists are local, sometimes from elsewhere in New Brunswick or another Maritime province. Past shows have featured notable local artists such as Judith Saunders and Donna Smallenberg, Newfoundland's Christopher Pratt and New Brunswick Art Bank Acquisitions. Original work by talented regional artists is also available for sale at very reasonable prices. The Gallery is located in the lower level of the McCain Library building in the downtown area and is closed Sunday and Monday. There are two restaurants nearby, a boardwalk along the Saint John River and a picturesque covered bridge.See more..
Came in here because I was going to the Dollarstore which is located in this mall but did a little exploring. Walking the mall took only a few minutes, it's rather small. It doesn't even have a food court. The one restaurant listed, an A&W isn't even in there. The few stores it does have though are popular ones like Shopper's Drugmart, the Dollarstore, Mark's and Hart. I wouldn't come here if you're look to kill a lot of time, but if you need to buy something then for sure.See more..

3.0Pays de la Sagouine(1 review) - For the French Points of Interest & Landmarks
My wife and i went here yesterday. We are Anglophones. The entry fee is quite expensive. It all about the Acadian culture ( which is great ), bit very little is done in English, so unless you’re French you won’t understand most of it. The music portions ( all in French ) are very well done and entertaining. So getting there story across is only for the Franophones to understand…See more..
