The crew at Able Sail were very helpful and made my first sailing experience a great one. It is a an awesome program that provides a grounding activity and focuses racing thoughts to a specific and rewarding task. Great experience to support living with PTSD. Thanks for the opportunity and looking forward to my next sail... I am hooked!

Recreational Sailing with ptsd
Sailing this summer with the crew at able sail was absolutely amazing! It was definitely hard on my anxiety as someone with ptsd but it was a challenge I was up for trying and I even came back for more! It seemed that whenever I went out on the water the wind picked up substantially and it was a little scary but the crew was very knowledgeable and knew how to steady the boat and even let me try steering! I even got to tack the boat which was a little scary but also fun. So mainly everything that I thought would be scary ended up being just as fun as well! I highly recommend trying out Able sail as it was a huge highlight to my summer as well as a highlight to my sister in law's summer who has spina bifida and had never been sailing before. It was truly an awesome experience for the both of us as well as the rest of the family we brought! Able sail is too good of a program for what it costs and I highly recommend trying it out!I'll be back next year for more and I might even try the learn to sail program if I'm daring enough.

Great sailing experience!
On August 13 & 14 2019, My 14 year old son, Kaelan and I got the opportunity to sail not once but twice with Able Sails on a 24ft sailboat on the Shediac Bay. Many thanks to the wonderful staff for making it an awesome experience for us! Lucy, Conor and Dawson you guys rock!
