    Visited Fursten Forest today with my petrol head brother. We did the 3 hour Quad tour and 1 hour Buggy blast. Both the tours were a lot of fun. After a short introduction, the guide takes you on a easy track at low speed to get to know the equipment. After that he picks up the pace adjusted to the level of the group. The speed seldom exceeds 30 (in the beginning), but this is more than enough. Both my brother and I drive bikes and fast cars and are adrenalin junkies, but this speed is more than adequate for a thrill. Our guide Anton then in the second half (Quad) really picked up the speed. The course they take is a nice mix of technical climbs and descends, cruising through the forest and fast connecting sand roads. The buggy blast was much of the same also, very cool. We regretted not doing 2 hours in the buggy. tips: for the Quad tour do at least two hours. We did three and it never got boring. Also for the Buggy we would say at least two hours. For sure wear old clothes, as they will get dirty AND take a goggle, or some glasses to wear. We went during the week and I think this is also a good tip. I can imagine that the speed lap we did, is not possible during the weekend due to traffic. Make sure to bring something to eat and drink. the facilities at Fursten Forest are basic at best.
