We went on a trip to Wailingding Dao with our interns and enjoyed two lovely days there. Wailingding Island is just a 1,5hours ferry ride away from Zhuhai, so perfect for a weekend trip. The ferry leaves Zhuhai from the Xiangzhou Ferry Port (香洲港客运码头), one way trip costs about 70RMB. Wailingding Dao has clear water and a nice beach, so if the weather gets warmer, you would be able to swim. If you don't fancy to stay in a hotel, you also have the option to camp on the island. There is a nice walkingway along the rocky coastline which also leads up to the mountain. Hiking up the mountain takes a bit more than one hour, make sure to bring some water! Once at the peak you can enjoy an amazing view over the island and might even see Hongkong in the distance. If you are starving after the hike, don't miss out on the seafood! See more..

Some friends and I visited Daya bay recently and I was very impressed with the area. There is a brand new hotel and beach resort, with restaurants and what appears to be continuing development with shopping and residential structures under construction. The town of Daya is a short drive away and the bay at that area is home to much more commercial traffic. The resort area is approximately a 20 minute drive from the town proper. See more..

The facilities are not enough. For example, it takes time to wait for the ferry, only one ferry every hour. And there is only one restaurant on the lsland. There are not enough waitresses and waiters. They clean the table and serve the dishes quite slowly. It is dirty too. There is nothing much to visit on the lsland. Most of it consists of rock rather than silver sand and beach. Because we went to Wuzhizhou Island in Sanya before, we could make a comparison. Chicken Island is much worse. I don't understand why they drive fuel shuttle buses and provide motobike to be rented there, because these things would pollute the environment. They can use the electronic ones, so that the visitors can see the sceneries more easily. But the sea color is really beautiful. See more..

Although difficult to get too, well worth the effort. A taxi ride, a 20 minutes boat ride. Then over the mountain on a motorcycle. A beautiful beach awaits you. Fantastic swimming. Restaurant was close, so back on the motorcycle to the harbor . The local fisherman prepared the freshest ever chilling crab, spices fish with rice and Chinese greens. Plus HiaZhu beer. A great place to experience fish catching. There are manned fishing boats for rent at RMB 300-400 per hour (high season price). The boat can sit about 20 people. Not only was it a fun boat ride around the pier, it also was a great fish catching experience for kids. The catch could range from crabs, shrimps, shells and fish. Other than boat ride, there is a very nice trek up a small hill at Mawei Island, where you can get beautiful glimpses of the sea. There are also floating restaurants at the pier serving catch of the day to complement your trip! See more..

The mangroves are breath-taking, and there are a couple "resorts" that offer a comfortable place to stay. Definitely not Honolulu, Maldives , Phuket or Ibiza but pleasant nevertheless. The nature and landscape are very beautiful and relatively uncontaminated. A little substandard in cleanliness and accommodation. Not much entertainment and a preposterous obligation not only to swim in designated areas but also to wear a life vest at sea . Came to visit this island with the hospitality of one of my local friend. We reached in time to catch the 10am ferry across the island. After that we drive around and had our lunch at the local seafood restaurant over looking the sea with fishermen off loading their catch of the day. We also visited the turtle farm and the lighthouse. Overall it was a good day of sightseeing. The volcanic structures of the rock is amazing. One can chose to stay a night on the island with cheap accommodation. Is better to drive your own vehicle to go across. See more..

端午去的庙湾。被晒到脱皮啦，脸上就像揭面具一样的蜕皮。防晒未到位，好吧，我承认是我的问题。
1.组织：xx市的户外网站上号召的，448元/人。仅含往返的交通费用、岛上清洁费，住宿仅提供帐篷；住宾馆自己加钱、餐费用自理。
2.交通工：快艇，每艘快艇8人，防护措施仅仅救生衣。有点颠簸，但不晕船，航行时间约2个钟。我在路上很嗨，朋友吓得要命，害怕掉海里挂掉了。
3.住宿：我们选择了帐篷。我们到了岛上就直接去换帐篷，安营扎寨。但是帐篷很闷热，有蚊子。
4.吃：我们几餐都是在庙湾王子那家食店里吃的，不起眼的巷子里，白灼虾好吃，不用蘸酱油喔，墨鱼也好吃，好怀念。
5.配套：仅有公共厕所和冷水淋浴浴。
建议：要去的朋友自己做好防晒措施、带好驱蚊水、手电、适当带点食物（岛上消费相对来说高）、玩水的道具（在食店碰到一群来自香港、广州的玩家，自带潜水工具过来深潜和抓鱼，很是羡慕啊，要潜水执照啊。）

We toured the island in the early evening. Some fishermen had come in with their catch of the day, while others were still tossing their nets into the water. The island is also referred to as Oriental Hawaii. Having been to Hawaii over ten times and to it four most tourist visited islands, I think that reference is overdone. However, it does have the potential to be a great island vacation resort, but the infrastructure isn’t here yet. But the beautiful natural scenery is its biggest asset. Bring in five or more five-star hotels, and Oriental Hawaii, “Here we come.” Many of Hawaii’s top ten hotels do not have long sandy beaches, but they are located on islands with a lot of natural beauty. The Temple of goddess Mazou (LinMounia if you prefer in Chinese) is really magnificent. Take preferably the fast boat to get there (it will be less crowded than the big boat). The pathway from the port to the Temple is nice and clean and the mystery of the progenitors ' spirits is all over the place. As you get on the top of it you see two gods of Buddhism (a red statue on the right and a blue one on the right). At the highest point you can pay your respects to the golden statue of Mazou , the protector of the human souls. If you pay 100 rmb you get a red bag , a flag with a golden dragon, a small quantity of blessed rice and print of the goddess with a wish for prosperity. Enjoy it!
