Local accommodation 180 RMB, all beds I testet were hard as wood. 45 min ferry from Zhuhai. Beautiful beach with gigant waves. 2 new hotels opening soon. 2 seafood restaurants - best fresh fish.

One day trip from Macau
Dong'Ao is a good opportunity for going to the beach from Macau, without spending too much money and time. From the border to beach it takes around one hour, considering the ±45 minutes boat trip plus a 10 minutes trip by taxi and time to cross the border. The whole travel expenses should be around 150 mop round trip. The island is nice and the quality of the beach is ok, not perfect but not bad either.
