We went to what we thought was the end of the wall but a local pointed out that there is a little walk and you're back up on the wall. The local also took us for a stroll through the old area pointing out things of interest. Thank-you. We enjoyed the wall view, day and night.We went here because my child wanted to see "a wall", and after some research I found this one between Hong Kong and Yangshuo by fast train. While researching I discovered that it looked like a nice area to stop with enough stuff to keep us interested around town. I was right.See more..

This is the location of the secret unofficial cultural revolution museum. As it wasn't on any maps it was pretty difficult finding the place, but you can take bus 102 from Shantou and ask for this place instead (Tashan Park) instead. It's all in Chinese so recommend you go with an interpreter - fascinating stuff. The park is pretty too.See more..
This is an ancient path up the mountain that links 2 provinces to each other. The road is difficult to walk but has been kept that way to ensure its original feel. There are many pagodas and shrines to see along the way and the scenic greenery is superb. The view from the top is worth the trip alone. See more..
