4.0Opium War Museum(90 reviews) - The evil foreigners Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM History Museums
China has suffered much from the crimes of foreigners, in this case, the British. In many ways, the roots of the Hong Kong problems of today are those planted by the British. Very informative museum. Well worth a visit. See more..
4.0Wuyi Huaqiao Museum(14 reviews) - A treasure hissen in plain sight Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM History Museums
This museum is quite spectacular in its simplicity and the quality and variety of its collections. I have heard that it's the largest museum of Overseas Chinese memorabilia in the entire country, but have no way to verify such information. It's in between the two well frequented malls of Joyful City and Wanda, yet draws a tiny fraction of the visitors that go to those places... much of the exhibits are items the emigrants from Wu Yi area left China with, donated by their descendants. There are life size exhibits of gold miners, railroad workers, rubber tappers, barber shops, laundries, a post office, train, airplane, and more... well worth at least an hour or two of your time.See more..
3.5Ye Ting Memorial Hall(8 reviews) - A small museum Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM History Museums
If you are not interested in a story of a senior Communist military general, then no need to visit it. This a small museum. Also, the description of back ground all stand for Communist Party. My comment is not so attractive. What I am only interested is the village school and the house of this general in this small village.See more..
