This area-street is just heaven on earth. As I am an electrical engineer, all my dreams can come true from this street. Every single electrical component is there with all versions and options. I am pretty sure you can make a rocket even without a problem. If you are a normal consumer, also no problem to find all electronics devices there, like mobiles, TVs, Cameras, Charges, cables, .... and many other thousands gadgets. I did not count the mega malls there, min one day can be reserved for this place. One important tip, keep in mind that all Chinese brands are more secure to be genuine. All international brands like Apple and Samsung are more probable to be a copy, so take care. I suggest to buy a Chinese brand instead. See more..

I booked the restaurant and notified them a week before going on the 19th of April to celebrate my 21st, when asked how many people the reservation was for I replied with 1 as my family couldn’t come out to meet me due to the pandemic. Upon arriving at meal I was treated by extremely polite staff whom gave me a tour of the 96th floor giving me 360 views of Shenzhen and neighbouring Hong Kong. When arriving in the restaurant they showed me all the food items I could / couldn’t eat due to my allergies. The waiters were all extremely polite and the food was exquisite. The menu was amazing! Lots of fresh seafood caught locally, traditional Chinese hot pot and many more To top the night off, the restaurant had prepared me an amazing home made chocolate mouse and orange cake accompanied with free champagne to celebrate my birthday with. It was easily the best meal I’ve had in China in close to a year and with incredible views of the city aswell, a must go to! See more..

I would suggest you to walk around there in the evening when it is not that hot and humid. You can kill some time there doing window shopping and try out some street food. Good thing that no motor vehicles are allowed in the entire area. You would end up 'QiJiang' River. There are more shops by the river and street performances in summer nights. The studio is located just north of Foshan and is a very very huge place. It is known as one of CCTV's main film locations in China and offers very interesting live shows to public. Their main crowd are the local Chinese, because all the shows are conducted in mandarin. There are many permanent sets such as the palace, Jiangnan water village, 60s Hong Kong which are very nice to take pictures, it is definitely worth a half day visit at least. The ticket costs CNY90 per adult. We bought the tickets in Taobao with a slightly cheaper price. Just search for 佛山南海影视城门票，and you will see a whole list of agents selling the discounted tickets. We enjoyed the wall view, day and night.We went here because my child wanted to see "a wall", and after some research I found this one between Hong Kong and Yangshuo by fast train. This is one of the movie sets in Southern China. It can be combined with the Sun Yat Sen's Residence Memorial Museum. The park consists of 4 different area's: China, Japan, USA and UK. The Japan movie set is the biggest one in China and we liked this part the most. It looks very authentic and you feel like walking in a Japanese village. However, the other area's are definitely worth a look. You can enter many buildings and explore them. You can rent some costumes which you can keep as long as you want and make some great pictures. Depending on the amount of pictures you take and your walking speed you can spend between 2 to 4 hours in the park. We really enjoyed it and can warmly recommend it. See more..

In mid July the temperature can reach 100 degrees as it almost did on the day we visited the Longmen Grottoes, but it was well worth it. We really enjoyed seeing these amazing cliffside sculptures right in front of us. The buddhas were carved into the cliffs over hundreds of centuries during several dynasties. The site is easily reached by taking bus n.9 from Jiakou coach station in Guangzhou (next to the Jiakou metro station). The ride costs 17 yuan per person and takes around 1,5 hours. The stop in Taipingzhen is right after Taipingzhen Road. After that, you have to walk for around 500m and you will find the Marking Tower on your left (marked by the brown sign of touristic sites). There is not much to do or to see, but it is totally worth a visit if you have a spot for astronomy. See more..

We have visited various diaolou in Kaiping area. This is the most beautiful dialou. It is worth a visit. There are plenty of photo opportunities !!! If you have a 360 camera, bring it with you. The tallest dialou in here is privately owned. So you will need to pay additional entry fee to get in. There is someone there to explain to u briefly about this place and what to expect in each floors. He will also show you photos that can be taken. Not a lot of tourist. So you can take your time and walk around. Worth every bit. Would come back again. There is a car park for cars. See more..

I literally grew up with this bustling night market. The whole street lit up as night falls. You will find small street merchants everywhere selling literally everything, from Chinese medicines to ice creams, from dress to socks. The best part I like when I was a kid is the local entertainment. You can find a bunch of talented local singers having a great time singing some Cantanese folk operas. Although the street merchants are replaced by indoor roofed shops but you'll still find yourself surrounded by a street full of reserved featured architects. I remembered there are movies taken from here because of these well preserved Southern China style balconies n windows. Its absolutely stunning, I went during the day so I can see the city here. I did not visit Zhongshan for over 6 years. But this ride is 20 minutes and 3 people cost $240 YUAN. This was the more comfortable cart which you didn't have to share with anyone. But if you go during 3:00 PM on a weekday it isn't that busy. This place is off the beaten track and not included in the multi site ticket you can buy from Zili Village or the Gardens. It is worth seeing, however, due to its age if you are interested in historic buildings. The main part of the building dates from the Ming dynasty. The darker coloured top floor is twentieth century. This makes it a great deal older than many other watchtowers you will come across in Kaiping. You cannot enter the building so can only enjoy the view from outside. It's towards the back of the Yinglong village. You can take bus 13 or 4 to get here. We took a taxi to the village and a bus back. You might struggle though as many taxi drivers don't seem to know where it is. My husband speaks Chinese so we were ok. When we arrived there were no signs and you had to meander your way through the village to get to it. Only 1 bus tour group was there, no other tourists. Locals selling food stuffs on stalls around the tower. Public toilet at back of village is truly hideous and avoid unless totally necessary. Due to the difficulty getting here, lack of facilities and the fact you can't go inside, this place is only really for history buffs or culture vultures. See more..

Here is my second home, every time I go back to Zhongshan will be live in nearby here. The commercial street is very large, there are food court, shopping street, shopping malls. My favorite is to eat tentacles of squid in the food court, chicken kidney, that shop is very famous, There are a lot of people to buy it every time that I came. Everything in the mall, supermarkets, fast food restaurants, KTV, cinemas, children's amusement park, bakery, dessert, jewelry stores, etc. Supermarket variety of goods, fast food restaurants contain McDonald's and KFC, KTV place large, cinema environment comfortable, you can be play here from morning to night. New Year with cousin to see a 3D movie, while watching the movie and to eat popcorn, after watching the movie, we went to the supermarket to buy things, then go to the food court to eat tentacles of squid, one day just passed. Commercial Street shops are expensive and cheap, whether ordinary people, or the rich are very suitable for shopping here. See more..
