A golden beach with great surf!
The beach at Donghai is commonly is locally known as 'Longhaitian' which translated means, 'Dragon-Sea-Heaven'. The dragon reference comes form the length and shape of the beach which is supposed to look like a dragons tail. The other words are self explanatory I think. Lots of sea and sky(heaven) to look at as well as fishing boat which often beach there to sell their catch to the local fish restaurants that are very good if you like very fresh sea food.

Decent Beach for China
If you are looking for a beautiful beach that is well groomed and rubbish free, this is not the beach for you. If you are living in China and you need a place to relax, but you don't want the craziness of Beihai or Sanya, this is a great place for you. You can camp, take day trips, sunbathe, and swim. It is a nice place to ride a bike and enjoy the peace and quiet of rice fields and village beach life.
