- 4.5 Changbaishan Tianchi (161 reviews)
-Breathtaking!
Bodies of Water
Staying in the Wanda International plaza will take approximately 1.5 hours to get to the summit. A lot of time to spend on a slow bus but it's absolutely worth it. When the bus arrives there is another 1km climb (stairs) to the lake. It stays mysteriously hidden until the very last hill before making its appearance. Its extremely cold at the top and we were only able to bear the cold for 15 minutes, the winds were also quite strong - hold onto your phones or cameras while taking pictures! It's a wonderfully serene view. Worth going back to view during other seasons. See more..

- 4.5 Wusong Island (43 reviews)
-Beautiful place
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Islands
First time brought here by our Chinese friends. Its quite a long distance from our hotel in Xiamen Street to this place but when you reach and see the beautiful place, its all worth the trip. All along the road leading into this place, the trees were covered with white snow, the fields too were covered all white. What a beauty. When you snap pictures, it looks more like an art then real. We didn't manage to walk much into the place as it was quite slippery even though our shoes were supposed to be anti-skid. It was so beautiful especially when wind blew and the snow flakes fall onto you. Will try and come again when I visit Jilin next time but of cause, the timing must be right as not everyday you can see the Wusong cos it depends on the temperature. See more..
- 4.5 Mao'er Mountain National Forest Park (40 reviews)

Monday: 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM National Parks • Forests
Went there afternoon and the place is really beautiful. We had amazing walk around and from the top is great view . It took us approx. one hour but it was worth it. Place is clean, people friendly. Go if you have time. See more..
- 4.5 Changbaishan Ecology Botanical Garden (30 reviews)
-ErDaoBaiHe is a beautiful town
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Parks
A private tour helps tourists to find out a place better. This is particular the case for my trip to this town. Very impressive hygiene standard, particularly clean public toilets, honest local people, local traffic management, sceneries' traffic control, and environmental protection are truly processional. I believe the achievement doesn't come in a matter of days, it takes a long time to progress to where they are at today. The long queue during peak season is a headache for everybody. I don't know how to improve but clearly there's room for it. In this respect north Tianchi is better organised than west. See more..
- 4.5 Peony Garden (26 reviews)
-Great lovely peonies 7 Aug 2016)

Very beautiful when I arrived there hahaha)) It was just the ripe season for peony to blossom, right after spring that is, in the summer. Next up, there are small bridges over troubled water everywhere there whilst seeing green trees and bushes...just plain awesome! See more..
- 4.5 Songhuahu Ski Field (20 reviews)
-Great Skiing, clean and well maintained slopes, good infrastructure
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent More than 3 hours Ski & Snowboard Areas
We've been here the second winter for a long weekend. We rent a small appartment in one of the Phase 1 buildings, clean well furnished and a lot of space for four. Breakfast in another building, typical chinese style, but also for foreigners you will not stay hungry. Skiing slopes are well mantained, wide and a lot areas for beginners quite feasible. Lifts and Gondola in super conditions, spotless clean and the great thing, not too much people, even on Sunday nearly no waiting time. Infrastracture in the Resort quite good, several small restaurents, KFC, Supermarket and also the different Restaurents in the Japanese Hotel are available. Swimming pool / SPA in the Hotel is open for everyone (you've to buy tickets) and it's great after a long day skiing to soak in the hot water. Overall we like it a lot, people are friendly, rental equipment is on a very good level and you can come without anything. See more..
- 4.5 Changbai Mountain Ski Area (19 reviews)
-ChangBaiShan Ski area, quite nice
Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Ski & Snowboard Areas
ChangBaiShan Ski area, quite nice but Best in the world, or Best in Asia as they seem to think of themselves as evidenced by their advertising? I don't think so sorry. While the skiing was good and fun I thought the runs were a bit short. Lots of corduroy on the 1st days, a mix of man made and natural powder a meter deep on the wilder trails. There are 3 lifts from in front of the hotel 'town' area. The E, F & G lifts. E is a 8 person enclosed chair going to the top of the E trails both Blue intermediates but real short. I was practicing skiing fast and it took exactly 1 minute to get back down to the lift. F is a 6 pax enclosed chair going to the top of a couple of Green beginner slopes. G is an 8 pax gondola to the top from where you can do a couple 'Black' runs and a few Blues. Also from here you have access to the top of the L slopes which have their own chair lifts but these had not opened yet. You can also get to the S slopes, 4 Black and 2 Blue all with their own Gondola. The grading system in China seems a bit generous. And not accurate. So while I would find the G1, G2 & S2 Black trails nicely groomed and quite easy. I found the deep powder of the S5, S6 past my skill level. So, I would suggest they adopt the diamond system to differentiate between the levels of the Black trails. Anyway,we had fun and its only a 90 minute flight from Beijing and not as cold as the other NorthEast China Ski areas. The coldest it got during our 7 days was about minus 29C (-20F) and the warmest -1C in snow (+30F). If you're going to ski in China this place is good. See more..
- 4.5 Beidahu Ski Resort (17 reviews)
-This is a good resort
Ski & Snowboard Areas
This is a good resort in terms of skiing, especially for China. The runs aren't long but they are well groomed and when I was there, they weren't crowded. The snow is powdery and dry. I would definitely go back. I stayed at clubmed, if you have kids I would r ecommend it. If not the Beidahu ski resort next door would suffice. Definitely the best skiing I have done in China. The hire equipment is fairly new and good quality. See more..
- 4.5 Wanda Shopping Plaza (Hongqi Street) (16 reviews)
-Wanda Plaza
Shopping Malls
Wanda plaza is a higher end mall. But because of this some people in it are able to speak English. And there are many western restaurants, including; McDonalds, Starbucks, Papa Johns, and others. There is also a good movie theater. The theater tickets are much cheaper if you buy them online, and it's worth noting that only one escalator goes to the right place on the third floor. See more..
- 4.5 Ruins of Ancient Great Wall of Yanbian (14 reviews)

- 4.5 Yalu River Border Tourism Zone (13 reviews)
-Yalu Riiver border bridge to North Korea
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks
The first iron bridge on the Yalu River was built in 1911. During the War of Resistance to U.S. Aggression and Aid to Korea, American aircraft bombed the bridges to Korea, and they became to be known as the "Broken Bridges". The side iron bridge was built in 1943 and is now the main passageway for China-Korea tourism and border trade. The bridge and dam can be viewed by all and people can cross the border bridge and visit North Korea. For a fee of 25rmb, one can also go on a sightseeing boat on the Yalu River. See more..
- 4.5 Longtan Mountain (12 reviews)
-Great view to Jilin City
Monday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM Mountains
It is a little hard to climb up in January because a lot of snow, but you'll be rewarded by a fantastic view to the city and some worth seeing temples. In the night the mountain is overwhelming lightened, this is a MUST SEE!! See more..
- 4.5 Beida Lake Ski Area (11 reviews)
-Great skiing close to Jilin city
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Ski & Snowboard Areas
It takes a little longer than an hour by car to reach the skiing area from Jilin city. The roads are clean and safe to ride. The parking lot is right in front of the "ski hall" where you can rent all sorts of skiing equipment: skis, snowboards, goggles, helment, boots, tube rings for ice sliding,... Prices are reasonable: 350RMB for 4hrs skiing (equipment plus lift pass) and 60RMB for the tubes for 1hr (but no one checks this time, as this lift requires no card!). The skiing slopes range from begineer to advanced and are well mantained, although the side protections are very simple and not always present. Many ski teachers are around and can be hired for lessons. Two hotels are open right by the entrance of the park but we didn't sleep there as we drove back to Jilin in the evening. There is also a small restaurant to have a simple but warm meal. I only wished they had more for children: the tubes are fun but besides that there's not much else for the little ones. A big ice castle by the parking lot is also fun to climb and slide down a couple of times. See more..

- 4.5 North Lake Park (Changchun Beihu National Wetland Park) (11 reviews)
-It worth to spend the whole day there!
Parks
It's a bit far from the downtown, but it's nice. Wherever you are along or with friends - you will find what to do. Amazing place for taking pictures, enjoying the landscape. E-bus trip is available for 20 rmb. Lot's of shops with snacks&water are at the territory. Boating is available as well. To the right from the main entrance you can find an awesome Temple. Its territory is also huge, so you might need another day to come. See more..
- 4.5 Mt. Liuding Scenic Resort (10 reviews)
-Surprising much to see
Monday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks
It's located 7km south of Dunhua. We just expected to see the Buddha but there was much more, Whole lake area with 3-4 sights. We saw the imperial building, lotus lake and giant Buddha with temple. In August lotus flowers were most pritty. Entrance fee normally is mentioned with 120¥, but it was just 80¥ that day. Use the small blue shuttle bus (around 15people) that takes you to every sight easily. It costs 10¥ once ( buy at entrance) and you save walking time from around 7km. Bring your own food and drink, it was barely available there. Whole park you will need 1,5h-2h to see all, but you can spend more time if you move slowly and take some tests. See more..
- 4.0 Puppet Emperor's Palace (Wei Huang Gong) (215 reviews)
-its terrific
Monday: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Speciality Museums
Very interesting! It's a steep price per person for 80 RB per head. It could use some reviews on the price but still and excellent viewing. See more..
- 4.0 Changchun Movie Millennium Town (143 reviews)
-I think everyone should give these attractions a one time shake!
Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Amusement & Theme Parks
It's very beneficial for those who have not been here and want to get a taste of the cities afterlife. Changchun has the friendliest people and most economy based living in all of China. This is an extraordinary experience, yet a little costly for the event. You have to do this once! See more..
- 4.0 The Museum of The Imperial Palace of Manchukuo (122 reviews)
-If you are in town , a must visit
Monday: 8:30 AM - 5:20 PM History Museums
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon here with the old structure houses with its rich culture and walk through little historical part of changchun See more..
- 4.0 Zoological and Botanical Garden of Changchun (64 reviews)
-Nice place for kids and adults
Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Parks
It is nice and educational visit specially for the kids. Actually, I liked the birds section - paying with parrots ... we spent 90 minutes, feeding and taking pictures of them - so cute and lovely.. Didn;t like the arctic section - it's too hot, poor seals and penguins couldn't breeze properly.. See more..
- 4.0 Songhua Lake (53 reviews)
-Take the boat ride!
Monday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Bodies of Water
Or don't. We had no idea what we were getting into when we took the boat ride. We were surprised to end up at Five Tiger Island, a theme park that as of our visit was not yet complete. The entry fee is cheap (forget, something like 10 RMB) but the rides cost extra. If you want to sit outside on one of the standard boats, you'll pay 40 RMB for a small plastic table and chairs, but this beats the potentially stifling heat of the cabin. As is common in China, the animals are kept in conditions that are sub-standard by western standards. Bring food. You can take the city bus from Jilin almost all the way, but will then have to transfer to site specific tour buses. See more..
- 4.0 Jilin Beishan Park (50 reviews)
-Bei Shan Park - worth a visit during the day and again at night!
Monday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Parks
Bei Shan Park was one of the highlights to my visit to Jilin City. There are at least three temples on the gentle climb to the top of the hill. The views from the top are wonderful. Cost is 5 RMB entrance. It is also worthwhile visiting again at night. Although the hill park is closed (no entry fee) the views of the park lit up in many colors are gorgeous. It is very interesting to see hundreds of Chinese dancing around the large entrance area, others are in skipping groups. Well worth a visit. See more..
