Great view to Jilin City

It is a little hard to climb up in January because a lot of snow, but you'll be rewarded by a fantastic view to the city and some worth seeing temples. In the night the mountain is overwhelming lightened, this is a MUST SEE!!

Free, well maintained, beautiful place
A new gateway greets visitors to this mountain park. New stairs lead you gently up the mountain, past the broken hill monument where Emperor Qianlong ordered the mountain to be split to stop the dragon's pulse, to the Phoenix and Dragon Temple area. These temples are shared between Buddhist and Dao philosophies and are still active. Climb further through woodlands that are alive with bird life to the viewpoint at the top, here you get an unparalleled view of Jilin City and the Songhua River. Well worth the climb, thoroughly recommended.

Worth a visit
For people who love nature and mountains the Longtan Mountain is a great spot to enjoy river view and have a breath of fresh air. It is also a good walk along the river on the way to the mountain, so have something comfortable to wear for a hike.
