Built along an east-to-west line across the historical northern borders of China to protect the Chinese states and empires against the raids and invasions of the various nomadic groups of the Eurasian Steppe with an eye to expansion. Several walls were being built as early as the 7th century BC. Later on they have joined together and made bigger and stronger, and now referred to as the Great Wall. Don’t miss the experience of actually walking on it. Most of the steps are uneven and this was a very good reason why the enemy troops got tired while fighting.    As we were there i decided to take the team out to do some sigh seeing.The sight is about an hour away from the convention center. Tickets are about 140 RMB. Please know - English is not very common - so it's probably best to have either a translator or a some sort of idea where you are. The trip will cost you about 3-4 hours (all the side fun aside). besides the clay wall - you can do a lot of other things. Camel riding, desert vehicle riding, boat tour, shooting the bow , paragliding. All in all - the natural surrounding were pretty impressive. The side attractions were fun (not taken too seriously) It was a good way to spend the morning.    We took a taxi to the Sanguankou part of the Great Wall, about an hour and a half from Yinchuan. There was nothing there except the wall, which is exactly what we wanted. We spent a few hours hiking along the wall & around the hills and enjoyed the solitude. It was a really amazing experience to be the only people by the wall. Be prepared if you decide to go - there's really nothing there. No food or water for sale, no bathrooms - just the Great Wall of China by the side of the road. See more..

    I've lived in Yinchuan for 7 years. This is my favorite place to experience nature and get away from the city. You have to pay to get into the park (around 60 rmb, half price for with a student ID). Then you can take your own car or a park bus up into the mountain valley. Once your more deep into the mountain range it gets more lush with tall evergreen trees. It doesn't feel like Ningxia once you get into the interior of the mountains.     Located about 45min from down town, in the middle of nowhere, near the airport (about 15-20min driving). Modern architecture, during the pandemic are strict rules, and is it required that you wear a face mask provided by them! a hip building, sleek décor and interesting photo exhibition. Chengtian Temple is one of the famous historical sites in Ningxia.The garden is not very big, take pictures around, a lot of things are worn out, but it is still good to take pictures, after all is history or suggest to visit, the price is really too much value.
