Bei Shan Park - worth a visit during the day and again at night!

Bei Shan Park was one of the highlights to my visit to Jilin City. There are at least three temples on the gentle climb to the top of the hill. The views from the top are wonderful. Cost is 5 RMB entrance. It is also worthwhile visiting again at night. Although the hill park is closed (no entry fee) the views of the park lit up in many colors are gorgeous. It is very interesting to see hundreds of Chinese dancing around the large entrance area, others are in skipping groups. Well worth a visit.

    nice urban park
    Visited Beishan Park while in Jilin in February. Very nice park in an otherwise urban setting. Good climb to the hills, to the "northern hills", and quiet temples on top. Seems to be a classical family attraction for local kids of Jilin.

    Leisure walk
    Visited on a sunny day. You can try some local snacks in small stalls and walk around. Families and friends hanging around and enjoy a great day. There are Buddhist temples upstairs. A lot of locals there.
