    Third Man Museum image
During a recent trip to Austria, stopped by this museum in Vienna and it turned out to be favorite stop on the entire trip. A great museum with wall-to-wall memorabilia, props, bios, and collectibles from the movie. Could easily spend hours here looking at everything and reading everything on display. Includes some really fun exhibits for fans of the movie - including a couple of photo opps that put you in the movie. Along with this entire collection of movie memorabilia, you'll find a whole section of the museum on the real history of the time, which is reflected in throughout the movie. The historical aspect of this museum is fascinating and could be a complete museum on its own. If you are a fan of WWII history or a movie buff, this is an attraction in Vienna to not be missed. Vienna, with its imperial history, has the image of a very prim city. In theory, the Town Hall Square should be the personification of significance and seriousness. However, the opposite is true. The Town Hall Square is perhaps one of the most fun places in Vienna. There is a Christmas market here in winter. And in the summer we caught a rock concert with massive consumption of beer, sausages and other things. We regretted that we went to a restaurant for dinner. It was cheaper and more fun here. 30. 4.0 Sisi Museum (2.922 reviews)
    - Exceeded our expectations
Wednesday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Speciality Museums • History Museums
    Sisi Museum image
We hadn't planned on visiting this museum, but decided to take the plunge after talking to some other tourists who recommended it. We knew nothing about Sisi beforehand, but got a thorough insight into her life through the audioguide. We didn't mind the silverware and porcelain section at the start. We found the narratives for this museum and the Schonnbrunn Palace to be extremely similar, so save your Euros and just do one or the other. Given a choice, I'd say the museum was better value for money (several hours of stuff to see vs. the Palace's 40 minutes plus extra time seeing the free gardens) and less busy. See more..
