One of the best in all of Europe!
After visiting more than 50 churches during a 5-week tour of Europe, we thought we could no longer be wowed. We were wrong! Peterskirche is stunningly spectacular! Far more impressive in many ways than the much better-known cathedral. The Baroque interior is simply breath-taking and the exterior facade is very different from most other churches. The current structure was built in the early 1700s.

An absolutely beautiful church and great concert venue
We visited the church during the day and returned for an evening Vivaldi concert later in the week. The church is certainly beautiful and it is even more striking as the sun goes down and you pick up the reflections in the large pool in front of the lighted church. We enjoyed a Vivaldi concert inside the church was virtually beyond description. A definite highlight of our stay in Vienna.
