    Good interactive museum
Visited with my son, who is a university music student. The lower of the two floors is devoted to the physics of sound and music, with loads of interactive stations, and also has a section about the history of the Vienna Philharmonic. The upper floor is less interactive, being mainly devoted to the history of the famous composers who called Vienna their home, including Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mahler. There is also an interactive conducting room, where you can try to conduct the Vienna Philharmonic

    Excellent
The Haus der Musik is well worth a visit. It is not a big museum but should definitely be on your itinerary if you visit Vienna. Vienna has a rich music history which is well exhibited in this museum. The museum also has interactive exhibits about the physics of sound and perception. The highlight for me was the virtual orchestra where you can have a virtual go at conducting the Vienna Philharmonic.
