The Most Colourful Social Housing
We’d never heard of Hundertwasser before coming to Vienna and were stunned by this quirky building, especially as it started out as social housing. The people who live here now must get fed up of visitors milling about. We avoided the tat shop opposite. Set us up nicely for a visit to the nearby Kunst Haus.

very colourful
This magical, very eye-catching place is located on the corner of Kegelgasse and Löwengasse. This residential complex takes its name from Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Hunderwasserhaus can only be visited from the outside, but opposite this building is a shopping complex called Hundertwasser Village - there you can already enter, buy numerous souvenirs, and above all feast your eyes on beautiful paintings and other things.

Interesting
An interesting place to visit. As it is an actual residence, you can only view the outside which is viewable from the paved area in front or further down the road. A “village” opposite includes many souvenir shops and bars which are worth a little browse - HOWEVER don’t buy!! You can buy all the same merchandise from the souvenir shops on the next road for half the price!
