A worthwhile way to spend your time and money

Situated in the very heart of Vienna's City center, the Albertina houses one of the most important art collections of the world. Founded in 1776, the Museum today owns masterpieces by Da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Duerer, Rembrandt etc. These collections are presented in temporary exhibitions. The Batliner Collection "From Monet to Picasso" is permanentely on display and shows the most important works by artists from the age of modernism. The Habsburg Historic Staterooms of the Albertina give an air of Imperial glamour.

My favorte museum in Vienna to admire Picasso, Monet, Chagall and others
The most popular and my favorite museum in Vienna. It is the 83rd most visited museum in the world in 2021. Visited in September 2022 and could admire Picasso, Monet, Chagall, Magritte, Modigliani and others. Ticket price was 17.90 EUR or could have been combined with Albertina Modern for another 9 EUR extra.

    Great museum
It’s a big museum in the historical district full of shops, beautiful architecture, restaurants and museums. We went to see Jean Basquiat exhibition which will end in 8/1/23. There are other great exhibitions there as well. There is a nice cafe on the ground floor. Luckily we booked both Albertina and Albertina Modern on the internet and we didn’t have to queue. Both of them are great museums. Highly recommended for art lovers.
