    - Beautiful, fun for little ones

Beautiful and fun, from the outdoor space to inside. Our kids (1 and 5) as well as s enjoyed it very mischievous. Our favorite is the lower level art interactive room, very thoughtful and fun activities, some even 1 yr-old can engage, made us very happy. Also very good in preventing COVID, such as requiring hand-sanitizer before entering the room of interaction and having a staff sanitizing there all the time See more..

  5. 4.5 Robert Henri Museum (14 reviews)
    - A Must-See for Art Lovers - Much Improved in Recent Years

    Robert Henri Museum image
I visited the museum years ago and was unimpressed. I visited again last week and I'm still stunned that this is the same place. Back in the day, they had no real Henri work of any note. Now they have a detached, climate-controlled facility boasting seven substantial Henri paintings and thirty-three sketches. Instead of untrained volunteers who made very basic mistakes, one sees copious captions through most rooms and several informative articles posted along with a modest research center, making a visit a real educational experience. The use of several rooms as gallery space for contemporary artists is a plus as well. In short, the powers that be have put quality resources into this site. They deserve all reasonable plaudits - along with your visit. See more..
  6. 5.0 Flatwater Folk Art Museum (8 reviews)
    - A unique and friendly Museum of American Folk Art.

    Flatwater Folk Art Museum image
A wonderful little museum dedicated to American Folk Art. George Neubert and his wife Eva are wonderful hosts, and George has been the past Director of several noteworthy art museums. For example, the large sculpture in front is by internationally know artist, Mark DiSuervo, uniquely painted in the color of International Harvester tractors (since it is a farming area). He has assembled a really unique collection of folk art. Brownville is a lovely historical town in Southeast Nebraska, and there other attractions to visit. Very active arts community in the warmer months - particularly on weekends. Make a point to visit. See more..

    Carnegie Arts Center image
Annually, Carnegie is an organization that is working to help its community understand the transformative and fluid nature of art. To understand that art has the power to increase quality of life, community, economic growth and build lasting connections. We do this through hosting 19 rotating exhibits a year that are free and open to the public. The upper gallery showcases professionally exhibiting artists, travelling and group shows. The studio gallery hosts youth, student, collegiate, and semi-professional artists. Carnegie offers exhibit tours, artist receptions, and fine arts field trips. Sharing our passion for the arts spreads beyond the gallery walls and into our arts education program and outreach. We host over a hundred combined classes, workshops, and art camps annually. These classes are held at the art center and out in the community. We want art to be accessible to EVERYONE, so if you can’t come to us, we will come to you. See more..
