We arrived on Saturday morning with 2 foursomes. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The course is beautiful and uses the natural terrain to challenge the golfers. The backdrop of the lake is a real bonus as well. After playing 27 holes we went in and had dinner which was very good. One guy with our party had prime rib, which was excellent. The rest of us had salads, burgers, pork wings, and chicken wings. All the food was very good. I would absolutely go back to play this course again.See more..

Friend Country Club is a 9 hold, par 36 course, located in the small community of Friend, in south central Nebraska. This small town takes great pride in its course. The course is challenging, with its hilly layout, equipped with water hazards, tree lined fairways, and sand traps. For a small town, I was struck by how well the course is maintained, compared to other towns similar in size to Friend. The fairways are manicured well, and the greens are in super shape, and were rolled fairly fast the last time I played. The course is located about 50 miles west of Lincoln, but it's definitely worth the trip if you want to play a quality course without too heavy traffic.See more..

This is an awesome 9-hole course. We always make an effort to play here when we're in the area. The course is located on the bluffs of the Nebraska side of the Lewis and Clark Lake, near Yankton, SD. The course is very well maintained and a lot of fun to play. Every year, it seems they have made improvements. The course is hilly, with many elevation changes. Hole #5 has an elevated tee box with the green at the edge of the bluff overlooking the lake. If you go out of bounds, your ball is probably in the water. The cart paths are mostly concrete and wind through the woods and up and down hills. Sometimes, it's like riding a roller coaster. What a blast!See more..
Arrowhead Meadows Golf Course in Curtis, NE is a wonderful 9-Hole Course. They have well maintained grass greens, fairways and tee boxes, sand and water hazards and beautiful views from every hole! Rumor has it, there might be a resident Sasquatch living on/near the course so keep an eye out for him/her! We played the course during the fall season and were given carts for free and even a reduced price on beer as they were looking to reduce inventory before closing for the season. Ridgeview Country Club offers nine testing holes, along with a driving range, a putting green, a pro shop with some apparel and a snack bar that includes food and alcohol on its menu. Ridgeview's greens are quick but putt true. The fairways are lush and well-defined. Trees line many fairways; several of the greens are guarded by bunkers. 5.0Dannebrog Country Club(1 review) - Most interesting GOLF ever!! Spent 1-2 hours Golf Courses I was in the area of Grand Island, NE and had heard of this golf course in Dannebrog, NE. It is a 9 hole course located just east of Dannebrog, about 20 miles NW of Grand Island, NE. What fun. This course is cut into the center of a pasture. The holes are inside barb wire fences to keep the livestock from ruining the SAND greens. One of the holes in INSIDE A LARGE STOCK TANK! You have to climb a ladder to get in to putt on the green. The fairways had been recently mowed and were remarkedly nice.... The ROUGH, it truly ROUGH. If you hit the ball into the ROUGH, just count on it as lost. The native grass on the ROUGH was 3 feet tall in places. This course also has small laterals of water running through it. Bring old golf balls and plenty of them! The cost is CHEAP. $4 per person for all day! No water or anything else is available. This was a FUN activity. The weather when we were there was nice. Wildlife tracks on the greens add to the uniqueness of this Country Club. Perhaps I should have said "Country Club?" It is certainly worth a stop and taking the time to at least look around.See more..

However, the help at the counter was very pleasant and check in took only seconds. The golf course - WOW!!! For a place out of the normal travel path, it has very well maintained course and is perfect for the beginner and average golfer.
