Tubed last week in July '14 and the Verdegris river level is low so there was more walking that hoped. However, Diane and the team provide great job of making it a great day on the water. Strongly recommend the floating island for tubers. Much better weight distribution that the single or two person tubes. See more..

    - A Fun Time
    River Rafting & Tubing
We recently did the tubing on the Middle Loup River. We met at Ewoldt's Grocery, which was convenient for buying water to take with us on the trip. We were outfitted with really nice tubes and were driven to a drop off point outside of town. We did the 4.5 hour trip, and it took all of 4.5 hours without any stops. The scenery of the Nebraska Sandhills is quite stunning. We went on a Tuesday, and we were the only ones on the river. It was extremely peaceful, and we had a chance to enjoy nature. The highway and railroad tracks are never very far from the river, but you really don't notice them. (It is nice to know that you could get help if you need it). At the end, they pick you and took us back to the store. All of this for just $20 per tube--a bargain in my opinion. Tip--bring lots of sunscreen and insect repellant. The bugs were definitely biting when we were out on the river. See more..

    - A shower at the end of a kayaking trip never felt so great!
    Monday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Kayaking & Canoeing
We stayed two nights at the small cabin, and had the place completely to ourselves the first night, although the two-story building housing the office had rented out the second story. Our cabin (sleeps 4-6) was very nice but did not have running water, so the showers and flush toilet in the office were very appreciated. Next time, we'll try to get the bigger cabin with plumbing as it has a verandah with a spectacular view of the lake, kitchen, and bathroom. We went kayaking for 24 miles and it was fantastic. Simply wonderful. We also made friends with another family in our kayak group and are invited to join their group next year! They have been doing this wekend retreat for 46 years! Bring your own food (a long drive) and get away from the world. LIMITED cellphone coverage....GET YOUR TEENAGERS OUT IN NATURE and away from the technology...Fabulous! See more..
