An amazing place. Don't be fooled by the town or the outside appearance of the gallery and museum. Owned by two wonderful brothers with stories to share and amazing works of art. We thought be would walk in and walk out but we stayed well over an hour and wished we could have stayed longer. A place not to be missed.See more..

My sister and I went in to see the paintings for which our sister was the model. We were the only ones in there. The curator came to say HI. She found out who we were, and we were stuck for an hour! EXCELLENT private tour / education / conversation...about everything Mari Sandoz and everything else in the world. She's from California, and we're from California, so she had lots of connections with us, particularly where I live on the Central Coast. It was spectacular.See more..

On a 75-acre program site on the edge of Hastings, Nebraska, Prairie Loft offers shared outdoor activities for all ages to help create a more active, aware, and appreciative community. Activities include family programs, community events, field trips, festivals, private events and more. Prairie Loft's mission is to teach agriculture appreciation, outdoor education, cultural connections, and the wise use of natural resources. Located just west of Hastings, Nebraska, the beautiful barns were once part of a working farm that fed over one thousand people for 80 years at the state mental hospital.
