Usedom Insel strand promenade is just so very nice. There are plenty of parking spaces nearby, hotels, restaurants, foods and kiosk, souvenir shops, friendly locals, nice houses, seabirds and the beach itself is very clean and its colorful "strand korbchen" is like a vitamins to once eyes. Everything is a Wow! from Karlshagen strand promenade, Zinnowitz, Kaserow, Ukeritz, Heringsdorf to Ahlbeck. Very worth to visit and enjoyed Ostsee atmosphere.See more..

....needs a refurbishment! The "Ahlbrucker Seebrucke" built in1898 is the oldest preserved pier of this type in Germany. Yes! This is the legendary location of the German humorist for his movie: "Pappa ante portas". The originally brown pier was specially renovated and painted white for the filming. But: this took place more than 25 years ago and you can see the stress marks - you even have not to look closer, specially on back side... :-o The Restaurant lives from the glory of bygone times, but it is time that this place shines in its old glory again: with not favourable prices there should be a little more money left than only for a bucket of white paint for entrance area..... Anyway: for all Loriot fans a "must have been there" - for all others a nice place to breathe a lot of history: also at the surrounding of the pier.See more..

Do not expect something spectacular, when you are visiting this location. The wooden construct is currently in a bad shape, the view is nice. You cannot walk the whole bridge because your way will be blocked after 50 meters. It is kind of relaxing to sit down and watch the seagulls. But that is all! I had honestly expected more.See more..
Port is port. One finds a maritime flair. Can stroll, sea, seagulls, fish. The different buildings here in the port also tell their story, but I don't think the attempt to connect this port with the modern oceananium was successful.
