Warnemunde beach is one of the most popular beaches on the Baltic Sea coast. Is huge (more than 10 kilometers long) and wide....dotted with beautiful blue striped "strandkorbe"- a kind of deckchairs. The water is chilly but safe for swimming. The beach is ideal for water sports like windsurfing and kite boarding due to the strong sea breezes. Great place to lay out relaxing or watch the sunset.... See more..

Visited in October. Fabulous atmosphere on a very windy day with big waves, with gorgeous sunshine later that same week. Spent one entire day sitting in a strandkorb for 12 euros (bargain!), our noses turned towards the sun, fetching fischbrötchen from the local fishmongers for lunch. Bliss. Would return and day. - Really tidy sand beach

Tidy sandy beach, everything in good order: toilets, supervision, stalls. Many beach chairs, everything well structured: beaches with clothing, for nudists, with dogs, and very long. You are guaranteed to find your place. Recommendable. Important: you pay your tourist tax at the entrance (so you have to take a ticket). The access is easy and flat. See more..
  4. 4.5 Strand Warnemünde (280 reviews)
    - Great Beach! Just do it!
    Spent 2-3 hours Beaches
    Strand Warnemünde image
Warnemunde has a long 3 km beach which is also very wide and sandy. They rent beach chairs on the beach. The water is great, very calm and only slightly salty. Water temperature was cool but pleasant (17 C). The part of the beach further from the town center (about 1,5 km away) is designated as an FKK - textile free beach, i.e. it is a naturist beach and bathing suits are tolerated but not necessary. Stayed at the Ostseebad Dierhagen campsite initially for 2 days but stayed a third as it was so good as well as having good disabled facilities and the weather was so nice. We've been to this area before so knew what to expect although at this time of year the sea is still very cold! See more..

Odwiedziłam cudowne miasteczko Ueckermunde w Meklemburgii. Wspaniała zabudowa. Piękne regionalne muzeum. Zabudowa w starym niemieckim stylu. Typu Pruski Mur.
Wspaniały rynek Starego Miasta. Pomnik rybaka i piękny Ratusz miejski.
Pogoda nie dopisała, bo padał deszcz, ale i tak miło było spędzić tam czas.
Sporo atrakcji i dla dzieci i dorosłych. Wspaniała "Marina". Polecam odwiedzić to miasto.
Przytulne kawiarenki, wspaniałe ciasta i ceny przystępne. Ja miło spędziłam czas.

  9. 4.5 Uckeritzer Beach (27 reviews)
    - Quiet nice beach
    Spent 1-2 hours Beaches
    Uckeritzer Beach image
In a comparison with the beach in Swinoujscie, where we have accommodation, this beach is quieter and more natural. But as well as all the local beaches are very clean, comfortable with fine sand and very gradual entry into the sea. And what surprised us most - the sea here is very pleasant in July. We were worried that we will not be able to bathe in Baltic, but the reality was different. As the temperature of the air and sea are very reasonable and stay here is more pleasant, than somewhere in the southern countries at this time. See more..

One day on the Beach is a pure entertainment. Who visits the Barracuda Beach in Neustadt-Glewe, agrees relaxation, fun, sport, comfort, pleasure and culinary in a perfectly laced whole package. To the fine beach sand and the proved high quality of the water the spectrum of the performances of the Barracuda Beach has incredibly been widened for his visitors again. See more..
  12. 5.0 Grosser Strand (1 review)
    - Another lovely long sandy beach

On another lovely sunny day in September, we decided to try out yet another dog restricted beach on the island of Rügen. This time we drove all the way down to the southeast peninsula past Lobbe and on the straight road, (L292 - Boddenstraße) that eventually takes you to Thiessow. We parked in one of the first large municipal car parks on the right (Parkplatz Gager 1) and paid the usual parking fee. We then crossed the road and walked down the cycle path (be careful on a sunny day there are many determined (!) cyclists) until we eventually found the signed area pointing to the strip of beach which is dog friendly. Interestingly enough it is invariably next to the FKK strip (pardon the pun). It's true to say that we had to walk quite a way. On accessing the lovely sandy beach via one of the official "Strandabgänge" (beach exit/entrance) we respected the clear signage towards the dogs permitted section. The views both up and down this huge bay are great. There seemed to be little of any tide which was intriguing. There was, however, quite a lot of dried-up seaweed which the municipality could clean up from time to time. We enjoyed a lovely stroll by the water's edge and found that quite a lot of older couple were still taking advantage of the early autumnal sun. We didn't see any beach bars here, but a couple of guys did drive down from the north on beach buggies selling snacks such a fish bread rolls and drinks. All in all, a lovely walk and highly recommended on a calm, sunny day. See more..
