Great place to learn something about the ocean in general. A lot is about the attached Baltic Sea, so you can learn plenty about it. It's also good for little kids, we had a 4 year old with us. She had a lot to see and to experience. Worth the money, although it had some restrictions due to Corona Virus. See more..

Visited the museum with two kids (6 and 8 years old). Had thought it was relatively small now that they had build the new Oceaneum too, but it just went on and on. We used a lot of time in there. Lots of displays and information on fishing, boats, the sea and oceans, a large area with aquariums with exotic fish. See more..

Our cruise ship the Azamara Journey docked this morning at Warnemunde and having some spare time my wife and myself took the small car/foot passenger ferry (Adults Euros 1.40 each) across the small bay to Rostock. As it was a pleasant morning (not always the case so come prepared for changeable and windy weather conditions) we decided to have a walk to the nearby Lighthouse. En route - and much to our delight - we passed the MSC Seal Sanctuary which we visited (Euros6.50 per adult) on our return journey. Fortunately for us this coincided with feeding time which meant we got to see most of the 20-30 seals that are currently under rehabilitation. It broke our walk up nicely and a very nice experience for anyone like us who likes Marie life and is happy to support such a worthwhile cause! See more..

Fantastic small zoo. I visited twice in 2 days. The zoo has onside accommodation, if I were to visit Usedom again, I would stay there. I went on my own and both times I was fortunate and it was quiet. It is advertised as Germany"s smallest zoo, I feel it is probably better suited for families with younger children. There is also a small playground and a cafe. I enjoy animal photography and the animals, especially the monkeys are very friendly and come right up, within touching distance. I have visited several of the large zoos in Germany and I actually loved the small zoo and also felt that the animals were well kept in a smaller environment. See more..
