-Beautiful Andalusí garden
Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Gardens
La Almunya del Sur is a Moorish style farm, composed of a rustic traditional house, that gives way to the garden-orchard. This garden-orchard tries to make the most of the available natural resources. The fruit trees, mainly citrus, associated with exotic and aromatic plants, create a respectful and environmentally sustainable balance. Water, as an essential element, is present everywhere in th See more..
- 5.0 La Cerrada de Elias (91 reviews)
-Beautiful, take your swimming costume!
Piers & Boardwalks
We went on a walk up this gorge. It's a beautiful place and lots of photo opportunities. There are lots of places to swim in the river as you go up, so make sure you take your swimming costume because we didn't and missed out on the full experience! We also went in July, the weather was 43 degrees which made forma very very hot walk. We managed about 1/2 the walk before we turned around. The first 1/4 of the walk is along a gravel track which I think your land rovers drive up. It's very hot here with little shade. The next section is along boards on the side of the rock. This is by far the best bit of the walk. Offering shade and beautiful scenery. I don't know if you are able to drink the water from the river - we didn't but lots of people were doing. I suggest taking plenty with you though as there are no shops etc to buy water from! I would highly recommend this place, for either a proper hike or just to come and walk 200m and go for a swim! This typical family business is rich with 4 generations of traditions. Very charming discovery. The young Fernando made us discover tasteful wines with very creative wine/food marriage. We will surely be back after the pandamic crisis for a horse ride in the vignards.. See more..

It’s not all about cacti but what’s here will certainly fulfil your wildest desires. It’s beautifully laid out, generously spaced and the setting is stunning. Other succulents abound here too. And you can buy them. I’ve seen specimens in botanic gardens and speciality shows elsewhere but the scale of this exquisite gem of a collection makes it a mandatory destination. Plan your pilgrimage today. See more..

-a must do when visiting the south of Spain - go to Setenil !
Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks
this is a little village and you can see everything in less than a day. However, I recommend spending a night here - accommodation is cheap and you can immerse into the village feeling. Being able to have a drink, stroll through the streets in the evening and/or early in the morning, all of this without the rush..is a very worthwhile expirience. See more..
- 4.5 Centro Cultural Palacio de Villardompardo (86 reviews)
-A place not to miss in Jaen
Wednesday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Speciality Museums
Absolutely worth visiting, about 10 minutes by walk from Jaen Cathedral. The entrance is free (may 2016). The palace with 3 different museums: Arab baths, Popular Arts and Customs and Naive Art (a hidden gem, indeed). There's also a view point (enter from the cafeteria) on the roof. A big regret that there are no explanations at all, not even in Spanish. It could be much more educational if there were comments to the objects presented. See more..
