Fantastic Tour

We have been interested in the process of producing pata negra for some time and finally the moment was there. On the drive down to Jabuga from Zafra we had fantastic scenary. We booked a tour including visit to a farm. Our guide Diego (fluent english speaker) shared all his knowledge. Afterwards we went to the curing facility and museum where we tasted the ham 100% Iberico. Thank you Diego!

    Jamón Ibérico
We had a lovely, comprehensive tour of the Bodega as well as a visit to the meadows where you can see and walk amongst the Pata Negra Ibérico pigs. We reserved online a few weeks ago for an English speaking tour and had the pleasure of a very well organized, informative and interesting tour. Jago, our guide was excellent and we highly recommend this tour if you love jamón as we do or also as a great way to learn about Ibérico. We added a broad tasting of jamón which included Sherry. The tastings were generous and very delicious. The quality of the jamón is the very best. Do yourself a favor and take a visit.

Great combination of tradition, culture & taste!
What a great place - if you've ever wanted to know about jamón ibérico, at the very best it can be, then this is the place to come. People passionate about pigs! We started by going for a walk on the dehesa (an old ecosystem that I had never learned about before) to find the pigs, 3 ha. per pig so could have been tricky, but luckily they came to us. Then it was a short trip to Jabugo where the second part of the magic takes place. The tour was a good mix of passionate talks and (well put together) interactive technology that took you deep into the preservation of traditions and perfection of technique before the climax... ...of course, the tasting of the product! This we were walked through again by a passionate person. In fact everyone was so good and so passionate our entire group took jamón ibérico home (the product is very good) but we were persuaded to eat at the home restaurant that doesn't disappoint. My only worry is that I learned so much that that, whenever I see a leg at home I'll bore them with my tales on how to tell Cinco Jotas is so much higher quality!
