-Hailuogou Glacier, Sichuan, China
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Valleys
It is all depend on weather........if you arrived with a cloudy weather, do extend your stay. Worth to go where you can walk on the glacier without a guide or glacier tools like other countries. The sunshine is very special where you can see the mountain in red color for a few minutes........depend on weather. The hotel management is very poor, do not expect anything although with star rated. Don't expect good food as well. Make sure you stay inside the park for the sunshine view. See more..
- 4.5 Huanglong Valley (61 reviews)
-Wonderful nature, almost better than Juizhaigou
Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Valleys
Just a few hours from Juizhaigou valley, this place is certainly worth extending your stay for another night! It takes around two hours by bus (can be organized by your accommodation) from Juizhaigou. Huanglong is essentially a steep valley in which a river flows down. Over time, this river formed wonderful limestone formations. The pools are filled with crystal clear water, while plants add to the perfect picture. At the end of the valley, you can find a beautiful temple with the famous colored pools. Walk up the valley, do not fall for the cable car, which still makes you walk after, but you will not see all the cool sights on the way up. See more..

-Awesome place
Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Valleys
Of the two valleys we visited we enjoyed this one the most. It is Just 7 km from town. We flagged down a car and a local gave us (4 of us) a lift for 60rmb. (We got back to Siguniangshan town for 40 rmb.) On arrival at the park gate we paid 80 rmb for the tickets (half price for the kids) and a bit extra for the bus. Private vehicles are not allowed inside the valley. The bus took us to the top of the valley where there were mountains over 5000 metres and even views of a glacier. From there we followed the boardwalk down slope. With a 5 year old daughter we still managed to walk 5 km even at a starting altitude of 3850 metres. Saw amazing sights including Tibetan worship monuments, forests, mountains, alpine lakes, a crystal clear river, yaks and horses. When we ran out of puff there were bus stops where you could hop on and off this park bus and go to the various scenic spots. See more..
- 4.5 Jinji Valley (7 reviews)
-Under renovation until further notice
Valleys
I visited Jinji Valley on 9 September 2018. Unfortunately, it is closed for renovation until further notice (please see attached photo). It appears that the wooden deck (or at least a part of it) will be replaced with glass panels to attract more tourists in the future. My overall rating of 'Excellent' is currently based on the expectations only...I need to wait to see it once it is re-opened for tourists... See more..

See more..
