We would recommend going to the bridge near sunset so you can enjoy the area. We did a 20 minute walk from the Chunxi Street area which is pretty easy. There are quite a few bars in the area that offer happy hour specials so we hung out in the area for a while. Lots of the bars and restaurants in the area don't open until 6 pm or later and the bridge looks much better with the lights on.See more..

The Anlan suspension bridge near Dujiangyan is 261 metres in length. It is an important part of ancient Chinese history and is considered to be one of its five ancient bridges. The suspension footbridge, which likely has been restored many times, is made wood and rope. Its towers are made of more modern materials, possibly to better withstand earthquakes, and as can be seen from my photos are constructed with steel and reinforced concrete. A place worth paying the visit if one is visiting Luding or in the vicinity ie. on their way to Hailuokou. The entry tickets are RMB10 per person. There are some stores catering to tourist on the other side of the bridge. Pretty interesting. Note: Do not entertain the touts near the ticket counters. They offer a cheaper entry but you would not be able to exit at the other side of the bridge.See more..
