This is one of the must visit places for tourists visiting Chengdu. We came on a Friday afternoon and even then, it was bustling with people. I would recommend getting there by public transport as it is not easy to find parking. The place is packed with eateries and souvenir shops. Chengdu is famous for its street food culture and this will be a good place to give it a try. There are also many Teahouses serving Chinese tea and finger food. Here, you should also be able to catch the popular Sichuan cultural performances, including the popular opera, the art of Changing Face. Went there during winter time, the ride on the bus up the mountain is long and bumpy. There are a few stops along the way, first stop lets you hike up the mountain to the cable car point, the other is hot spring, and then last is to the base of the cable car point. We went straight to the cable car point and took the cable car to the top, it was cold and also great at the time. The view was amazing, but there was a path that we are suppose to walk, but closed due to safety. On the day we went, the sun was bright and warm, we didnt need and spike on our shoe to walk as there is less snow on the path. Plan your trip in advance, especially book the room in advance, if possible. Try not to go in winter because even during summer, certain hostel's floor is wet! due to the weather and atmosphere. If you visit to the Tourist Centre, they recommend you to go to 4 places (if you have limited time time). Huashi Lake (I think at Mottled Stone Sea), Butterfly Shoal, Small Jiuzhaigou, Three Enchantments of Lissome Water (I think you will see the(containing Vanilla Cascade, Dragon Waterfall, and Moon Cave Water Screen). If you travel there by own car, you just need to pay the entrance fee, I think it's RMB 65 and for the raft. As we were stuck in the jam (try not to travel there during public holiday and weekends), we only went to the four main attraction suggested by the Tourist Centre. Remember to wear good walking shoe and if you want to get down to the lake, stream or water, buy their hand-made slippers made from corn peel. See more..

Spectacular and stunning scenery I have ever seen in my life. Snow mountain peaks, glacial lakes, alpine meadow, rivers, virgin forests, wild flowers and animals. Well worth the effort to get here as it is a long way mountain trek and very high at about 4600 meters. A bit steeper in the narrow uphill path, takes a long time but definitely worth it. Visited in the best Oct 2018 autumn, it was unforgettable experience I had. Full of love and peace. See more..

Well out of town. Created about 30 years ago this huge reservoir is now a resort area, with condominium towns springing up, even a Sheraton, but best of all are the opportunity for watersports. Not very accessible in China, but here you can find wakeboarding, jet skiing, banana boating, amongst others. Compared to western prices they are pretty reasonable too. I suggest you make a day of it due to the isolated nature of the place. I would also avoid it like the plague during Chinese national holidays. See more..

I went there in the summer of 2008 and it was drizzling and misty. The Beijing Olympic Games might have caught most chinese's attentions, there were few people in Wuxvhai Lake then, it was a paradose and i felt good!! but the indigenous people told me that i should come in autumn, which is the most beautiful season here. 我家里的老人信仰佛教，从小放假就跟着老人们到一些山上的古寺、禅院去居住一段时间，这个凤栖山上的古寺，我曾经在这里住过几次，至今我们家只要有时间都会去那里住上一段时间。
这座寺庙历史悠久，据说大门上的匾额还是哪个皇帝的题字，寺庙坐落于山中，非常幽静，分为上古寺和下古寺，晨钟暮鼓，如果你厌倦了城市里的喧嚣，那么到这座古寺去游览一番，也是一种静心的旅行吧，非常舒适。
到古寺就要在古寺里吃一顿斋饭，全素宴对于生活在城市里灯红酒绿的人来说，既健康，又美味！
听说上古寺现在已整新一番，值得一去。
除此之外，凤栖山也是一个休闲避暑的好地方，山中也有许多农家乐茶铺什么的，还是可以去看看！ See more..

We visited this historic site with our Chinese daughter-in-law and three-year old granddaughter who both really enjoyed the outing. For our daughter-in-law, this was an excellent opportunity to show us what China used to look like in the 80's and 90's before so much modernization took place. There is a small admission charge which provides access to a Buddhist monastery and the former residences of important local residents and officials. The historic area is only a block wide but as it extends for a good quarter mile, it makes for a full morning or afternoon. See more..

You have to take a taxi to get here, but it's nice place to spend few hours. If you take the boat (2yuan) across the lake, you'll get to see really nice carvings and a temple. It's really worth spending those extra 2 yuan, because that's the best part of this place. The worst part is the fact, that they have there 3 monkeys in cages...It rains on the monkeys, the monkeys can't sit anywhere else but on the bars...they looked quite miserable. 去了才知道单独入园不需购票。出于孩子不敢独自游玩，因此购买了两张无限套票，希望他喜欢的自己多玩几次，不喜欢的带着他一起去挑战，周四人并不多，按原计划可以轻松玩完36个项目（但当天3个在检修，只有33项能玩），第一次去不太熟悉，从南大门入，参照地图挨个找能玩的项目比较耽误时间，后来发现每个牌子上有注明。再后来发现喜欢的想玩多几次几乎不太可能，玩第二次没有人排队也要你出来再进入，感觉好傻，还告知要等5-10分钟才开，总之没别人来就半天不给开机器，这样耽误了大部分时间，真对不起“无限畅玩”这个词，全都这样等下去，一天也玩不了一半啊，只好调整方案，赶场似的碰到有别人的就玩一下再走，真是节假日人多时排队等时间，人少的时间又要等人来排队才开机，感觉无限畅玩其实只是个噱头，而且还规定只有36项可玩，还不如90的套票，50项玩的还多些，玩不完下次来接着再玩呢，再说一下，好多设备时间都好短，有些一分钟不到就停了，唉。。。真够省电的。。。最后统计一下，除了检修的3项，还有六项没赶在他们五点半下班前玩上，他们下班很准时，五点二十基本就都说下班关机器了不会再给你开了，外地去的同学们要玩得抓紧时间哦。 See more..

Wenjun well is in a park called Wenjun Gongyuan. Wenjun was a wife of a famous poet Sima Xiangru and they used to make wine from water from this well. In the park there is a little lake, various trees, bamboo, teahouse and nice pavilions. There is no entrance fee and in the park there is a little exhibition (even with English descriptions). This delightful walk starts around 10 mins out of Pringle Ancient Town which we travelled by motorised golf cart. After walking across the river on stepping stones and a bridge we paid and had a lovely, steadily uphill walk through the bamboo forest for around 30 minutes until we climbed up a short, very steep section to reach the suspension bridge across the valley. The views were superb and well worth the effort. The return journey on the other side of the valley was steadily downhill towards the entrance. This was probably one of the best walks I've ever done. 2005年初秋，第一次到青林口是冲着那里的豆腐宴去的，朋友说那里的豆腐很有特色。当走在青林口的街上，仿佛又回到上世纪70年代，记忆中的那个年代，四川的很多小镇大多像青林口这样。
青林口镇不大，两条主街，“T”字型构局，木板房、小青瓦，有特色的就是那红军桥及墙上的石碑，还有文昌宫的石碑。吃过豆腐宴后，感觉相当不错。后来接连三次到青林口，主要还是吃豆腐，呵呵。
最后一次，是2011年的春天，陪朋友去青林口，没吃成豆腐，倒是看到有公司在开始打造青林口古镇，期待之中。 See more..
