People gather here for line dancing, to play cards, drink tea, have their ears cleaned, and practice calligraphy. There is also a lane reserved for matchmaking where parents display the biodata of their children, hoping to find a match for them. There is also artificial lake where you can row boats. We walked along the river and down the alleys to reach the park. Well worth it. It is on the banks of the Jinjiang and has a fascinating group of historic buildings linked to a great poet of old, Xue Tao. This part has a small fee. 20 yuan or as with many historic sites, free for the over 60's. You can enter the buildings and climb up some. English boards give some background. It is set in amongst bamboo which the rest of the Park is famous for. We headed through to it for a sit down and a cup of tea. A great additional experience with the hot water courtesy of two large thermos flasks. Loved the place and caught taxi back to town for a delicious hot pot by the river at Lu Li Ping's. Add to that the sculptures, iconic carvings of DuFu's most famous poems, and his thatched-roof cottage, and you have a must-see attraction. We came across this park rather accidentally while getting a bit lost on our way from Qingyang Palace to Jinli Street. The park is not on the tourist map, but if you get tired of the sometimes maddening crowds at tourist places, this is a great place to wind down and see a different Chengdu. It's not just a quiet, well-kept and very green park; it's also home to numerous tea houses along the river and deeper inside the park. After all, Chengdu is not just famous for Pandas and Sichuan food but also for its tea houses, and I can't think of a better place to relax for an hour or two. Tea only emerged in China in the first century BC, and it was Chengdu were tea was traded centuries before it became popular in other parts of China, so visiting at least one tea house should be on everybody's agenda. Absolutely beautiful place, better than the pictures give it credit for. Would recommend staying in one of the hotels close to the park entrance, then taking a car or walking the 15 minutes to the entrance for when it opens (7am). Most tourists take the shuttle bus up to the top of the park and then walk down. For something resembling tranquility I would recommend skipping this and walking up to the centre of the park via the boardwalks. From the 'tourist centre' you can take the shuttle bus up to either of the lakes at the top of the park and then walk down (although this is where you will meet the droves of tourists). The park closes at 5pm so would recommend taking the bus back down to the entrance at 4.30pm. Fantastic experience, utterly breathtakingly beautiful. 10/10. See more..

First of all - don't get tricked into buying the ticket for the bus and boats inside of the area - there's no need for it, if you are healthy and used to walk, it's better (and cheaper) to walk around, plus you can hop on the buses inside without anyone checking if you have the bus ticket (or at least no one checked ours). We spent around 6 hours walking around and inside of the cave. Student ticket is 50 yuan, full price ticket is I believe 100 yuan. The cave is huge, quite chilly inside. I've never seen a cave like that so it was realy impressive to me. The stone forrest is really vast. Don't forget to go see the coffins of the ancient Bo people hanging on one of the cliffs. Really amazing! There is a huge pit, it's possible to walk around - on the other end (opposite of the elevator, entrance to the cave), there is a nice temple where you can enjoy a cup of tea for few yuan. I think it's worth the visit, espesically if you have never seen a stone forest or huge limestone cave. There are some snacks and some souvenirs for purchase (but rather overpriced) There is a bus from Xingwen, takes around 30 minutes and costs 10 yuan (or something around that price). The bus will drop you off (most likely) by the entrance through the cave (there is another entrance where you first go to the stone forest) There are many accomodation options in Xingwen near the bus station (really good rooms from 60 yuan for a double room) See more..

This park was a kind of attractive theme park needed ticket to get in, but later on they are remodel and free for everyone till now. It is a nice place with lake with lots of koi fish, some old fashion style bridges, and lots of path ways with trees everywhere, plus they lotus flower blooms in summer. They have different types boat for you to rent and enjoy the views from center of lake. This park is located in center of Nanchong city. Lots local taste food on the food street next to it, make sure try the spicy cold jello dish they called "Liangfen 凉粉", rice alcohol rice ball called "LaoZao TangYuan 醪糟汤圆" it won't make you drunk and very tasty. they only problem is they don't speak english, so you will meed to prepare dictionary or try the best of your Chinese skill. (The boat in photo we rent is 40.CNY for 30 minutes, after 30 minutes, they charge 2.CNY per minute. Ps: some bridges are too low, our boat cannot pass through...) See more..

Zigong Lantern Festival is an yearly lightning festival, used to be open for public on the occasion of Chinese New Year. Entry ticket is 40 RMB per person. It's very famous in Sichuan Province. Lots of people use to come to see this spectacular lighting festival from different different places. It's use to be open from mid of January and lasts till march I think. Not sure. Yulei Park is my favorite site to visit when in Dujiangyan. Before attempting the climb, be sure to wear comfortable shoes and recommend taking water. This is a STRENUOUS climb! Otherwise, pace yourself because it a steep climb. It's a beautiful place. Once you reach the summit, you find an awesome view of the city and irrigation system. It's a quiet place that offers everything needed for a picnic. The tower is gorgeous! Get to the top, they let you ring the bronze bell for a small fee. There are restroom facilities and a nice snack shop if you want snack food. The view is 360 degrees. Allow at least 3 to 4 hours for this trip. See more..

people's park is just across from Cuiping Forest Park, but there are only three entrances and it is surrounded by buildings. It's worth looking for though. We saw hundreds of people doing tai chi there Friday night, kids doing strength training, roller blading and they have rental paddle boats of you want to go out on the little lake. Batang Cuopu Lake/Valley is a less-famous sightseeing than it's bigger competitior Daocheng Yading. The entrance costs 140 RMB. There is a mini-bus service that will take you there. The place has numerous unique landscapes such as - natural hot springs - a beautiful pristine valley - several ice blue alpine lakes - geyser - meadows - several temples - rare birds There are very few tourists visiting this place, and the Tibetan local guides were simply amazing, sharing food, knowledge and a lot of selfies! Notice for foreign visitors: Located within the Batang County, it requires everyone to pass a checkpoint. Get your passport ready. Funnily, the policemen themselves recommended me this place, happy to see that foreign tourists were coming back. The park management required me to show my visa + health QR code. I've been there several times on motorcycle and bike and its one of the coolest roads to travel on. Its just west of Leshan and Emei shan. However, foreigners aren't technically allowed there. I guess you can try to get permission in Leshan. I guess if you don't draw attention to yourself you should be ok. Up to Ebian is ok but Jinkou is definitely off limits. Anyway, its a fun newly paved road goes at bottom of canyon and has awesome views. I'm not sure about hiking or anything but its good for onward travel to southern Sichuan and other places. This park was nice to visit. The entrance fee was 15 yuan which seemed a little high, but then again, it keeps many people away avoiding constantly bumping shoulders with everyone like every place else in this city. There was quite a bit to see and do here. A museum at the top of a hill, a residential home for Chen Shou, a tower which was closed for my visit, a lake with many goldfish, a temple, and numerous rides for children. The view from the top of the hill at the museum would have been really nice without all the smog. Regardless, I still thought it was worth a visit. See more..

The Sichuan earthquake all but destroyed the small tourist village that fed this park, one of the last remaining places where you could possibly see a panda ( or golden monkey) in the wild. Since then the park has remained closed, bit even the 3km hike to the derelict park gates is well worth doing. The Sichuan landscape is beautifully magnificent. The water in the river is fantastically clean. There are a myriad of butterflies and birds as well as monkeys to see enroute. You will pass by the ghost town that was where the pre-earthquake visitors would have stayed. A great day out. See more..
