I was in Daying for an official visit. From outside, The Hotel Sun City Holiday Hotel looks like any other huge hotel. But the moment you step inside, it's like being transported back to the Arabian Nights.... .The rooms, absolutely stunning with good view of the outdoor pool. Free Wifi too... they had good selections of TV channels, a few in English. Daying city is nearby, within walking distance, but taxis is available. Unfortunately, the staffs and folks here do not speak much English, so communication can be quite a problem. Food, mostly Chinese cuisine and if you go downtown, there is quite a good row of shops to do shopping. See more..

Nice enough walk up through some Taoist temples and nunnery and then onto the peak. The views are good, you don't need to walk all the way up to get the best views. The steps are on the small side too small to use each one but too big to do two at a time - legs still aching as a result, also note you start the walk a mile high and so you need to factor that in. Monkeys aren't really bothered unless you feed them once someone does they go a bit crazy so just keep your wits about you. See more..

这次出门最充分，带了一个大包以及削水果的到。预计这次好好地跳一下丰收舞的。听说葛仙山很多人家都种了大片大片的李子。而且都已经快要成熟了。今天不背一点回来怎么对得起哪些淳朴的乡民呢！

到达葛仙山镇下面的一个叫做万年场得乡村。当天赶场。街上人挺多的。结果到下午的时候我们回来。就一个人也没有了。看到老乡卖的桃子非常的好吃。心想回来买。结果下午回来什么也没有了。

不过这次有我的同事和高涛以及她的朋友刘冬梅。大家一路上有说有笑。没有觉得旅途有多么的劳累！请欣赏图片！ See more..

- Tourist Trap, but VERY cool!!

You'll have to take a bus from either Chengdu or Yibin to get to this place, but it's actually pretty cool if you can get here! I'd recommend you or someone in your party come armed with passable Chinese, because this place isn't exactly swimming with foreigners or people who can speak English. Another recommendation is to either come with a car or hire people within the park to drive you places - either way, you'll need Chinese. This is a MASSIVE park - you'll need at least two days to see the essentials. Luckily, there are lots of hotels / hostels to stay in within the park itself. There will be people waiting just in the gate to try and get you to stay in their place. We stayed at the Wenxing Shanzhuang - pretty cheap at 100 yuan for three people, but there were some bug issues and a squat toilet, and no drinks available for purchase besides hard liquors. No frills, so to speak. See as many of the waterfalls and mountains as you can - forget the lakes. You can see one of them, but if you've seen one, you've seen them all. Lake surrounded by bamboo. Woohoo. Take the cable car in the center of the park from the TOP TO BOTTOM, not bottom to top. The views are stunning!! This place reminds me (shout out to the LOTR nerds) of Mirkwood. It's a really disorienting place because of its size and the similarity of the landscape. Bamboo as far as the eye can see in every direction - rising and falling with the landscape - you'd be totally lost if not for the path. It's quite beautiful, actually. The red cliffs are striking, and you can purchase a variety of wild mushrooms and bamboo leaf tea for pretty good prices, actually! The bamboo leaf tea is quite nice actually, if you steep it at 80-83C. I would definitely go again - I'd say May is the best time to visit this place. Any later, like during the summer, it'd be unbearable with the heat, but I hear the waterfalls and lakes and streams are fuller at that time. It's a cool place! See more..
