This is a lovely stretch of the river west of Vienna and includes wine villages and impressive views of castles and vineyards. Best viewed from the river to watch the scenery go by in a leisurely fashion. A glassof the local wine adds to the effect. See more..

Located upriver from Baden, it's a relaxed place: Ideal to go running or walking along trails, past the ruined castles of Rauheneck and Rauhenstein, past the old tollhouse and the tunnel through the Urtelstein, up to the Cholera Chapel which is on the north bank of the river, just a few steps up from the cholera chapel inn.
