We booked a tour with 6 people, starting in Spitz, where we startet ourr, drifting down the river danube, passing by picturesque villages and the breathtaking landscape of Wachau valley. The ferry (German: Fahre, pronounced the same) runs across the river from Durnstein to the landing at Rossatz. It is a euro or two each way. You get some great pictures from here. If you have time, walk to the pretty town of Rossatz, you'll be walking through vineyards, pear and apple orchards, on well-paved walking and riding paths. Very relaxing!
