Following the rules laid down by St. Benedict, they try to translate into action the words ORA et LABORA et LEGE (pray, work and read) by working in pastoral care, education as well as organizing numerous cultural Events. Although this style of church is not really my thing, one cannot deny that it is a Spectacular example of the style and art of its day. The paintings in the church are beautifully preserved and executed. We hiked from Rosenburg, through the forest and seeing this church was our reward. It is worth the visit. See more..

The serenity of the place seeps into your soul whilst visiting, pushing aside the bussel of the close city. Take time to relax in here. It did not seem that high when viewed from the road, but appearances are deceptive. The steep climb was a bit more than some go us in the group had bargained for. The lure of seeing an actual place that was part of Richard the Lionheart was what drew us to this place. Situated right on the Danube, the path leads through a small village with a cobblestoned street and then up the hill. The path is narrow and is a mixed trek of stair steps and rocky foot ledges. The view from the top was beautiful and worth the climb. Need to take water or food with you since there is nothing available on the route above the village and nor on the top itself. Information laid out on the top laid bare the myth of Robin Hood; seems that all outlaws during that time were called Robins of the Hood! The castle itself is just a ruin now and has not been rebuilt since it was destroyed by shelling of the Swedish armies in the 30 years war in the 1600s. See more..

The interior of the church is totally amazing and not at all expected from the exterior. The organ is especially impressive in both beauty and sound. The monastery connected to the church also was impressive. The collection of vestments, books and the interior space was beyond my expectations. I can only recommend this castle which is in a perfect condition and provides wonderful view. There is no entry fee and building is easily accessible from the town. There is also a clean, free public toilet in the building. All in all a perfect hiking destination. See more..

Another ruin on my walking route, started of in hinterbruhl and with easy walk through a nice forest you reach vorenhof in about 30 minutes and from there you need you figure out a bit the track to ruin as you can see it, the last part is not long but uphill. Beeindruckendes Kirchenbauwerk. Wird von unzähligen Bus Touristen Gruppen besucht. Es gibt auch noch ein paar Mönche 'Passionisten' die dort Seelsorge und Seminare betreiben. In der Kirche findet man hinter dem Altar einen kleinen Brunnen des Wasser schon wundersame Dinge vollbracht haben sollen.

Der Platz ist sehr schön angelegt, wobei sich hier auch das alte Rathaus befindet.Ein Blickfang auf dem Platz ist auch das Verderberhaus, ein mehrteiliger, zinnenbekrönter Gebäudekomplex mit den Hausnummern 2 und 34. Es ist ein frühneuzeitliches Bürgerhaus mit einer Fassade im venezianischen Renaissancestil. The „Weinviertel“ is famous for its cellar lanes „Kellergassen“. More than 1,000 cellar lanes in about 180 communities are known in Lower Austria. A „Kellergasse“ is a lane down with several wine cellars and pressing houses. They are also called villages without chimneys by the locals. One of the most beautiful cellar lanes can be found in the small town of Falkenstein with its imposing border fortress built around 1050 on a limestone cliff above the surrounding vinyards. The cellar lane „Oagossn“ consists of two opposite cellar rows with a total of 65 pressing houses and adjoining earth cellars. The relatively uniform architecture of the press houses is unique - the gables of the buildings are mostly facing the street. Most of the closed ensemble has been preserved to this day. There are also older cellars, such as the "Gmoakeller", from the late 17th century. In the Falkenstein Kellergasse visitors will find wine taverns, open cellar doors and a restaurant and in the high season there are also festivals and wine tastings. See more..

Ein junges, sehr engagiertes Team kocht nun sehr gut, abwechslungsreich im Alpenstrandbad auf.
Die Preise sind moderat, das Essen gut und nicht nur für Vereinsmitglieder - denn nach der 2 jährigen Schließung des Bades wird dieses nun als Verein geführt.

Die Mitgliedschaft kostet aber nur soviel, wie die Saisonkarte vor 2 Jahren...€ 70,-.
Gäste können eine "Schnuppermitgliedschaft" um € 15,-, die zu 3 maligem Besuch während der ganzen Badesaison berechtigt, erwerben.

Geöffnet ist das Bad von 09:00 bis 22:00 !! geöffnet, die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, das Wasser herrlich!

Not easy to find as is in the middle of a wineyard, and the location tripadvisor app is not correct. Not far, best is to enter it through stojan strasse, took quite a walk around to get there. Was totaly emtpy and the ruin is very small so not much to see but you can sit down and rest,view is nice to the burg liechstein and the town which is not far so you visit on the way as i did.
