"The National Park High Veluwe is Marvelous and Magical"

De Hoge Veluwe National Park is - partly due to the variety of landscapes - the most surprising national park in the Netherlands. The Park is famous for its rare animal and plant species. There are excellent possibilities for wildlife observation in the Park. With over 40 kilometers of paved cycle paths, free to use White Bicycles and a lot of different walking routes, the Park offers something for everyone. The Kröller-Müller Museum - located in the center of the Park - shows works of great masters like Van Gogh, Picasso and Mondriaan. The visitor will also come across a number of monuments by famous architects Berlage and Van de Velde in the Park. The famous country residence/museum Jachthuis Sint Hubertus is perhaps the most impressive example. The special combination of nature and art guarantees a Park with a high recreational and educational value. Due to the high natural value, the area is also assessed by researchers as very valuable.

very nice park for biking. great for families
we came family with 3 children (13, 11, 5) we had agreat biking time on the white bikes the park is very big. the biking wasn't hard (my wife didn't ride for 20 years) the view is special. biking in differents forests, then in the sands... i recomand to make a round tour. take the bikes in the entrance - go until the Kroller - muller museum, but you don't have to go inside - from there ride to Museum Jachthuis Sint Hubertus, eat an ice cream or drink coffee, and from here ride back through the sands to the entrance.

    "Heather at its best"
"De Hoge Veluwe Nationaal Park" is bigger then you would expect in the middle of the county. You can can easily hike and stroll for several days throughout the park. The easiest way to see most of the park in one day is by using the (free) available white bikes you can find at every entrance. The NP is worth a visit all throughout the year but the best time of course is when the heather is coloring purple while blooming end of August/beginning of September and later that month when deer are starting burling. Entrance fee is a bit pricy but value for money when you count in the bycicle rental.
