  2. 4.5 White Island (522 reviews)
    - Stunning white island
    Beaches
    White Island image
The White Island is one of the go-to-place if you are in Camiguin. It is composed of two small white island and the water is cool and soothing. It is best to go there early in the morning as the crowd tends to grow fast. Bring small bills if you want to rent a beach umbrella (200PhP) or sample the raw (fresh) sea urchins being peddled around (3 for 100PhP) . There's no permanent structure on the island as they become completely submerged at high tide. Overall, our experience was pleasant and enjoyable. You must try it! See more..

    Wednesday: 7:00 PM - 5:00 PM Islands
    Dako Island image
We visited Dako island as part of 3 island hopping with Naked Island and Guyam. Great spot for lunch. You can either buy your fish at the market before you leave or they had plenty of choice also. We bought at market and they then cooked for us. Be prepared to pay for the cooking and little extras, as well as hiring a table to eat at. Still the overall price was worth it. Great day out. See more..

    - Enchanting, truly!
    Bodies of Water
    Enchanted River image
Just seeing the clear blue water makes you want to dive immediately. The water was so refreshing. It was prohibited to enter the cave though. The torrent in the middle was so strong that I cannot swim through. After swimming here, you can rent a boat going to the Sibadan fish cage where you can have your lunch. See more..
  6. 4.5 Magpupungko Beach (289 reviews)

    Beaches
    Magpupungko Beach image
This paradise is better on the low tide. You can go 2 hours before the low tide to avoid the crowds. The drive on moto from General Luna takes more than 1h. It was quite tiring, but the views were amazing. Avoid coming back at dark. Please make sure to take all your trash back. Of possible, take a few extra trash from the unpolished persons. You will feel very good doing that. See more..

    - Cool swimming and bamboo boat experience
    Waterfalls
    Tinago Falls image
Tinago Falls are a bit - as the name says - hidden and you have to climb the 2 year old stair cases down. However standing in front of the falls reimburses the walk. There is a small lake to swim with the waterfalls in the front. You can ride a bamboo boat directly into the waterfalls and climb the rocks to jump from inside the waterfalls to the lake. Around the lake you can find small shops with beverages (also beer) and snacks. A nice relaxing experience. See more..

    Great Santa Cruz Island image
Sta. Cruz Island is composed of 2 Islands (Great and Small). The smaller or Little Sta. It is inhabited by small community of Badjaos, open to general public but only on arrangement with the City Tourism Office of Zamboanga. Bancas are the mode of trasportation in and out of the island. Visitors are only allowed to visit the island between 7AM to 2PM only. Pink color of the sand actually due to the broken pink corals that are mixed (by the wave) with the whitish sand. - Great historic place to visit
    Historic Sites
    The Rizal Shrine image
We where traveling land trip back to Manila, this place is really part of the itinerary. We could only read this on history books during grade school. It was a great opportunity being able to visit the shrine with my family. We had fun touring around, seeing the huts of Rizal, his Casa Residencia, the century old tree, etc. for free, no charges. It was good that it has been preserve and is taken care of so that children and adults alike could visit and will have a chance to see the past especially Rizal’s life when he was in Dapitan. 18. 4.5 Dipolog Sunset Boulevard (101 reviews)
    - One of my favorite places on Earth
Spent 1-2 hours Piers & Boardwalks
    Dipolog Sunset Boulevard image
A bold statement, but the Dipolog Boulevard is one of my favorite places on Earth. A morning stroll with the cool fresh breeze greeting your senses on a mostly empty boulevard creates a wonderful start to a day. Grab a cappuccino or breakfast at local restaurant and enjoy the view. The night brings the opposite with many locals strolling, eating at the many food booths or local restaurants, karaoke playing and kids playing. The sea breeze works to cool you down from the hot sun of the Philippines day. Stroll to feel the energy or enjoy the stars. I've had many wonderful experiences here from the first date with my soon wife to meals with family and trying balut for the first time. A must see when visiting Dipolog. See more..
  19. 4.5 Fort Pilar (99 reviews)
    - The Old Side of Zamboanga City
    Historic Sites
    Fort Pilar image
This fort was originally constructed as an outpost of the Spanish armed forces to drive away pirates. Presently, Fort Pilar is more of a worship place for Roman Catholics, specifically devotees of the Virgin Mary. Zamboanga City is really a melting pot of different cultures as you can visit this Marian shrine which is just a stone throw's away from a very popular Muslim Village called Rio Hondo and this fort is also near to a Muslim mosque so even when there's a mass being celebrated here you can hear a Muslim call for prayers coming from the loudspeakers of the mosque. Aside from tricycles, the jeepneys in Zamboanga City go directly or end their routes in Fort Pilar so going there is not a problem. Outside the fort you will see many vendors selling religious article, souvenirs and snacks. See more..

  27. 4.0 Katibawasan Falls (261 reviews)
    - Worth the detour
    Waterfalls
    Katibawasan Falls image
This waterfall is the biggest one I’ve seen in my life. This is not a strong fall with a huge amount of water but it’s good because it enables you to swim in the pool in front of the waterfall and to look at it. The place is quite hidden so very quiet and there are not a lot of tourists. You can really enjoy this place if you like waterfalls. See more..

    Guyam Island image
The island is pretty much small to a point where it would only take you 5 minutes from one side of it to the other. But it is breathtaking as you might feel you are secluded from your busy city life. We made the best out of our time here by snorkeling for at least an hour. There are beverages and some small snacks available which are being sold by the locals. See more..
