    - Very Cool Experience!
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Giant Clam Sanctuary image
The Giant Clam Sanctuary was part of our island hopping tour and it was very unique. After a short orientation about the conservation efforts, a guide takes you snorkeling to enjoy the clams. Of course, you can not touch the clams and they do not allow you to wear your flippers so you don't accidentally step on one, but you don't need them as the guide pulls you with a flotation ring and rope, and everyone wears life vests to help them float. There is a small docking fee so be sure to bring pesos! See more..

  7. 3.0 Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park (35 reviews)
    - Day Tour
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park image
Me and my family are traveling from Zamboanga to Misamis Occidental and we heard about this place. When we visit the wildlife, we feel pity and sad looking at those animals who were abandoned already by the owners and they dont have food to eat and no maintenance on them. Cages are very old and not safe if ever they get out it will be dangerous. It's good if they will just let those animals free. But the only thing we like was the view from the wharf, far to walk to the end but it was amazing and beautiful. See more..

    Baras Bird Sanctuary image
The Baras Bird Sanctuary is one of the many unique places SOCCSKSARGEN is so blessed with. This Bird Sanctuary in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat is a testament that the main reason why Region 12 has lots of surprises from Mother Nature to offer is the sustainable nurture by its people of the environment. Going to the Sanctuary is easy and very safe. Coordination with Tacurong City Toursim Office is advisable as it cordially assists visitors in order to experience Tacurong City or Sultan Kudarat Province the best way possible. It's best to explore the Sanctuary with enough time, especially early morning or late afternoon. With enough courage, it is highly recommended that one should have a view of this natural wonder from the top of the Sampaloc tree. Thank you God for using Mr Rey Malana for taking care of this splendor! :) See more..

Get to one of the most private hidden beaches in the Philippines! Follow the signs for Sea Breeze cafe / restaurant (always a cool place to hang out for while) off the main National Hiway. From Sea Breeze, just walk south down the beach. Keep on going past the PNP Police Camp.. There's then a 2 meter high sea wall all along, between the sea and the Airport runway, for the next 2 kilometres. This concrete wall guarantees your total privacy and seclusion from everyone else. Skinny dip or whatever, just sunbathe or swim in total seclusion and privacy. The beach is fine soft medium brown sand, the ocean is deep blue and your body could get an all-over tan... See more..

Currently they have relocated to a better place ( suggest government take out the old signage; first signage is the correct one ; second signage is the old one and not existing anymore ) and even during weekends they have signs and updates on what they have been researching and letting you understand why are we preserving them. Wished we have some based government researchers who will request schools to visit. The governor of the town and the people surrounding the area were supporting this endeavor.
